yeah. Looks amazing. Kinda wish there was more of it. Like a soundtrack visualization of each level with these CGI sequences. Or maybe a "remastered" version for the Switch if Nintendo would consider doing such a release that would come with both the original game and a HD version with the same visual style. Heck, a whole series of such a "Super FX Tribute" game release series would be great. Or maybe all on one cartridge.

I love it to wait :) More Waiting -> Better Video ! Just look at all those other gaming channels. They spam out totaly garbage, or copy topics (one blog/website post something, then some guy make a video about it, then 39394 other channels use the same topic within 24Hours, without adding anything new to it) from others in a cheap way, just to keep the $ rolling ! There are just 2 youtubers that are really honest guys, who create quality, give a shit about quantity. I hate how 4:3 is represented in wide-screen. Games didn't look like squares when we played them. They were a bit wider than this in practice. 2:33 I mean compare this. 00:16 to this. 9:13 A great example of why this doesn't work. So why do we keep presenting SNES games to a modern audience in such a constrained viewport to preserve graphics in a way they were never originally consumed? Just generally speaking. This video just blew my mind with its quality. It staggers me where you even found the assets. I have to assume you created much of it yourself, which just overwhelms me. It's too good, man. Thanks.

Cant help but feel like Sega designed the Saturn using Starfox's concept as a baseline. 2D backgrounds with 3D models on Top , not polygons , but an approximation in sprites. Almost as if 1995's Panzer Dragoon was a direct consequence of StarFox's "avant-garde". Explains why they bypassed the idea of a more robust 3D hardware solution (SGI MIPS/ Lockheed Real 3D/Sony). Also , SEGA'S "real" 3D Arcade business was doing good back then , maybe they just wanted to keep it that way. Unfortunately for them , Sony and Nintendo skipped the warm up and went straight to the finish line. P.S - Nice video , good work :)

Sony has credited Sega's Virtua Fighter in promoting the 3D era. The PlayStation was designed to be a 2D console but the success of Virtua Fighter made the devs. change their minds. There are also earlier games in the Starfox genre on the Mega Drive and PC, but Starfox certainly helped to popularise this style of game. What is interesting is that Sega tried to take a more SNES approach in making the Saturn a high end product while PlayStation and N64 are more like the Mega Drive featuring a single powerful CPU. The bottom line? Nintendo, Sega and Sony etc. all watched, collaborated and copied each other. On thing I'll give Nintendo credit for is their pricing strategy and making the consumer pay through the teeth for the chipped carts necessary to get the SNES to perform at industry standard, that is comparable to the PCs of its time. As it turns out, the SNES was priced to be competitive and this meant using a slower CPU making polygon drawing difficult at a decent frame rate: the solution was the Super FX chip, an add-on within a cart. The native Mega Drive hardware can draw polygons arguably better than SNES but that is another story.
