The attention to detail of the animators in this episode is brilliant if you rewatched it. You will notice how Gabimaru resisted all of those attacks. Like in the first scene, gabimaru held his breathe to strengthen his neck and when he curled his toes during the bull execution method

this series is so fucking fire, and when i finished the manga, it felt like my soul left my body lmao such a good series with a good ending. been looking forward to this series since they mentioned it alongside Chainsaw Man

8:30 No the wife's VA is Mamiko Noto not Hayami Saori. Some of Mamiko's most notable roles are Yukako from JoJo Part 4 and Elsa from Re:zero

from whay you were saying I got the impression you believe their is only ONE pardon, but the Shogun said the gether the next GROUP from criminals etc, to me indicates that as long as the group successed everyone that returned would get their pardon.

That could be it, but Sagiri said Gabimaru will be competing against other criminals for the pardon, so I guess we will see. The next group wording could mean the ones that will try next against each other. The previous groups never returned.

I don't know if the subtitles are inaccurate but it was straight up said that "the one" who brings the elixir of life will be pardoned, meaning only one person.
