“Over each other” is my favorite from this new album with an awesome music video, “stained” is good too. Also the new live performance of my December is mesmerizing and one of the most beautiful performances I’ve ever heard. I’m loving this new era of linkin park if you can’t tell lol

Problem solved why don't you just buy the album and have the vinyl.

Oh, you’ll go crazy when you see how their zoetrope vinyl looks! :) It’s going for an arm and a leg on eBay right now. As for the songs, Mike Shinoda (the second co-lead singer) writes the majority of their lyrics and does most of the production as well. He mentioned that the verse with his rapping was written in 2019. Many say it must be about Chester, though Mike hasn’t confirmed it.
@DogeTennantАй бұрын
If we're talking about this song specifically, Mike actually confirmed that it's not about Chester.
@ann_7890Ай бұрын
@ I am talking about a specific part of the song. The rest of it was a collective work.
@DogeTennantАй бұрын
@@ann_7890 Well, he said that in general this song is not about Chester, I'm not sure why he would say that if a specific part of it was actually about Chester. Mike said that this song is about the combined relationship experiences of the band members, why would they randomly insert something about Chester into a song like this?
@ann_7890Ай бұрын
@@DogeTennant Dude, we’ve seen the same interview, and it’s clear they want to keep the reasoning behind the songs pretty vague. However, when you write verses, sometimes they’re just in your notes, and you don’t know what song they’ll belong to. So, Mike said that verse was written in 2019-who else would he write it about? Any other subject would be pretty random indeed.
@DogeTennantАй бұрын
@@ann_7890 I mean on your part it's just speculation. On my part, I'm literally stating what Mike said. And this is not info from the interviews, it's info from a "From Zero" listening party that Mike did, where he literally said/typed "This song is not about Chester". In the interviews he didn't say this, he just vaguely described what the lyrics/verses are about. Again all I'm saying is that having a song about a certain thing, and then randomly having a verse about Chester which in the context of the song is a completely different thing would be rather strange. Hey, I'm not saying that you can't be right, I'm just saying that having a verse about Chester in this song based on what we know, would be strange, at least that's how I see it. Just because the verse was written in 2019 doesn't mean it has to be about Chester. Mike was working with plenty of people in 2019 (Emily included) and I doubt most of the stuff he wrote with most of those people had anything to do with Chester, so it can be the same with this Good Things Go verse.

linkin park is legendary band. but if they get a new singer i feel the band name should change. atleast using same name is better for advertising.
@DogeTennantАй бұрын
Why? When Chester became the new lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots, he himself pushed for them to keep their name. They all worked hard for it, not just one person, so why change it? (this works both in the case of LP and Stone Temple Pilots). Imagine how this thought process of "should've changed their name" sounds to Mike. "Oh, I guess I have to change the name of my own band, that I created, that I've poured thousands of hours of experience, emotion, and work into, same as my bandmates because the singer isn't the same anymore, guess there's nothing I can do, I'm obligated to do it" That sounds straight up insane.

The best response I've heard is "what if AC/DC folded when Bon Scott died? What would we have missed if Brian Johnson never joined?" Bad things happen, but we soldier on.

Changing the name because one member died will always be a childish take. It's their band too.
@henlohenlo689Ай бұрын
@DegraTrip gorillaz band used to be another band name. atleast the singer had 2 band names through his career. it was not a bad choice. so to call it name like childish is innapropriate. it IS borderlining fraud to use different bamd members using same bamd name, fraud has clear distinct meaning. less fraud involved simply used a different name along with it. its not childish always, other bands singers like gorillaz/blur did it and it was not childish both bands were are great.
