Elite 2.0 was definitely a mistake, but it’s more like an experiment that failed than an outright bad decision. Hasbro can always come back with stuff like repainta of old blasters that everyone already loves. Now they just need to do stryfes!

Thanks for the vid, Drac! I couldn’t agree more. I love all three of these repaints, and was lucky enough to grab one of the caution tape/construction zone/crime scene paint jobs when Amazon had a $12.99 sale about a month ago. This should be the direction Hasbro/Nerf goes in 2021. This past year, with Elite 2.0 and Ultra, they almost innovated themselves into obsolescence. When they are up against legitimate competition from AF and DZ they need to examine what they are good at. Take a blaster that is loved by introductory Nerfers, intermediate and competitive foam flingers, stock class shooters and modders, and sell it at a reasonable price with a legitimate new design scheme that actually incentivizes purchase. The Hammershot in f-f packaging is a home run “wrap it up and put it under the tree” Christmas gift for Nerfers of all levels, and this is an awesome way to reintroduce it to those who are newer to the hobby. Hasbro, demote the guy who designed the Elite 2.0 line and promote whoever came up with these repaints to creative director!

I got the hazard version, gave the metal like parts, a bronze/black paint job, but I kept the main hazard design. Then I proceed to to make it look like some one yeeted the thing into a desert, or for short made it look weathered.

At least they are rereleasing the hammer shot. I was in a toy store today that basically got rid of all old stock and only had elite 2.0. it's gonna be a sad time when the stryfe is gone in favour of that stuff. And that's on top of the fact that here in Germany, you can't get rival or any of the dart zone pro lineup.
