@@emanueldjordje well man, my Golf is with the 1.6 SOHC 8v engine, they call the engine 1.6 SR. The gears are significantly shorter than like my father's diesel Škoda Octavia, on 5th gear with like 2000 rpm it rides with 75-80km/h and on 3000rpm its on 100 km/h. If you can find that gearbox from a Golf for parts, pray to fit on your engine, because l think it is smaller than the longer ones, but I think there shouldn't be a problem. Search in Google, the gearboxes show up, i think you can find one I'll be happy if I helped you and you can ask me more if you need it :)

@@emanueldjordje maybe the 1.4 16v from the same gen has a shorter gearing, and the blcok is very similar, surely it would fit. Otherwise somewhere on VW-s site i once found all their engines and the gearboxes that were produced for them. But to be fair, why on earth do you need a shorter gearing in that? I have a toledo 1.6 16v bcb and it loves to rev, 4000rpm at 135km/h.

Damn, I love the simplicity of old cars and their low weight. You just get in, push the throttle only in a half and you receive a lot of torque and joy. Every service is cheap and you can buy regenerated turbo for 150 euro (in Poland 600 PLN) and it will last very long.

Dude the vp engines (110 and 90) are not like the pd engines that will make 300 +++. They have worse pistons, the fuel injection pump will do around 170 then u need to change it, the whole bottom of the engine is for max 230 HP then you need to swap it. If you are going to comment be sure you have anything wise to say

I wouldn’t recommend it, because the turbo isn’t suitable for this car. This engine is with variable geometry but the turbo isn’t so it’s welded directly

I have a MK1 Octavia 1.9tdi VE 110bhp ... Sure it's same engine as your golf?? Are you running stock injectors? Ive got straight pipe too remap to 142bhp .. did you just bolt that turbo straight on ?

Yes, the injectors are stock. The turbo isn’t plug and play, because it’s from a car without variable geometry and it needed some fixing and welding to get mounted. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Stage 1 is basically considered just a ecu tune. I think you should be good at around 120-130hp if your turbo and injectors are okay.

Hi, does your steering wheel vibrat between 109 - 120 km/h? I have neglegted my golf for a while and forgot how it felt naturally... it did go trough a full service and inspection recently, but it still seems a bit too rough. I don't know if it normal for the car or not as I haven't driven it in a while.

Not normal. Check the balance of the wheels first, because it’s the easiest. Then check if the wheels and tires are alright, and then check suspension.
