They were so right when saying Emma WAS Degrassi doing those times. Being a massive fan back then (I was 11 in 2001) Emma was our focus point. And when they retired her character Degrassi somewhat never felt the same again.

The first class graduated in '06, and since they have since retconned the show, it has been 10 years. There shpuld be some 10 year reunion movie featuring the clases of '06, '07, and '08. I feel like most of their stories were left unfinished and unanswered. Hopefully Manny and Jay get married and we get closure for Crellie, Semma, and Spane. Maybe Parcy if we get lucky.

I think the reason why Spinner and Emma got together because that just goes to show how life is UNpredictable. Sean was her first love, but Spinner was her true love. And though they didn't have a story line in the beginning seasons, they were somewhat by each other the whole time. And that your true love can be in front of you and you might not even know it. Sean and Emma being together would have been just too predictable. And I guess it shows how our idea of love changes from teen to an adult. And Emma technically still got her a "bad boy" 😏
