It was really cool as a hairstylist to see how someone with as much length as you have flat ironing they're own hair. Ps. I learned something new today, as I've never seen a brush that looked like a flatiron. For a second I thought you were using two at the same time!

Okay Lucy...I went ahead and ordered one! I've not straightened my hair since the "Great ClipperVac Disaster of 05"! TEN years and I've got three of the five feet I lost (in one second on one side when my French twist fork failed and my hair got sucked into the clippers while I was grooming a toy poodle)...talk about an emotional basketcase! I've been scared to do much of anything, even taking great pains to use a different updo each day to avoid twisting in the same direction over and over...I'll probably stare at it for a year before I get the nerve to use it but...it'll be there "just in case!" Thanks sis, for all the wonderful recommendations! (Oh...btw, I diligently worked off the donut holes and I'm breaking in my 21" longline by Mina @ L'Atelier de LaFleur! ANOTHER great recommendation!)

I am growing my hair it is now to the middle of my back, I do not color my hair and i dont use very much heat on it, I am a natural strawberry blonde I have gotten some people asking if my hair color is natural & think it's absolutely beautiful I have gotten some people asking why I made the choice in growing my hair and the reason being is simply because like you said it is a hairstyle and I simply love long hair, when my hair does get long such as yours and when and if I start to get the ignorant questions I won't hesitate to show what people give. I am a firm believer in treat others the way you want to be treated. #i love your hair it is an inspiration, myself included love the classic looks, I love my hair long, I wear little to no make up, even the dresses "yes I also wear modern clothes" some may think of me as "odd" but idc I have a wonderful husband who loves my hair and have beautiful children who love and support me for me & I'm happy and that's all I care about ♡

It looks very nice when you wear your hair straight, but I also like the natural structure of your hair. You mentioned heatles curling techniques (I prefer curls over straight hair, my hair is very straight) how do you curl your hair? When I try to use a heatless curling technique my hair gets straight again, after 2 hours or so and it is very thin and not that long (end of my shoulderblades).

Well the final product is quite spectacular but I wonder about heat damage? Or are you moving the iron at such a speed that the hair really never absorbs enough heat energy to cause significant damage?
@LucysCorsetry9 жыл бұрын
Bill M The flat iron is set to medium heat, and the brush helps to disperse the heat over a wider area (it has ceramic plates inside as well) and I was moving pretty quickly over each section. That's why my hair didn't end up bone straight, but it also saves me a bit of heat damage. The heat protectant spray also helps.
@1olivinka19 жыл бұрын
You have amazing hair! How do you keep it so smooth and untangled? I have fairly long (not as long as yours of course) and thick hair, and after a couple of hours my hair is extremely tangled. Do you have any tips?
@LucysCorsetry9 жыл бұрын
+1olivinka1 After straightening it, it's less tangly! My hair is naturally pretty grippy though, so I tend to wear a lot of protective hairstyles like buns and braids.

Hi, I need to ask you something, I'm going to buy a custom corset, and I don't know wich bones is better steal or plastic, cause the maker told me that it doesn't matter when it comes to reduce the waist. what is your recommendation?:) hope you can answer ahah love you and your videos
@LucysCorsetry9 жыл бұрын
Amanda Pudu Steel is the better choice. Unless you are going to a very experienced custom corsetiere who specializes in antique reproductions and they invest in German synthetic whalebone - but those makers are very few and far between (I can only think of 2-3 people who do that, and expect to pay $500+ for one of their corsets). Other sellers who may sell ready-to-wear corsets and use plastic bones, especially if the corset is less than $200, it is very poor quality plastic and not good for training.

if your hair doesn't return to its original wave, curl or kink patters after it gets soaked and dried, its heat damage, and is a huge no no! Heat protectant is only an insurance, not a guarantee, you still have to try and straighten the hair in no more than one pass per section and the lowest effective temperature, people with super kinky hair, dont start, its possible! you just need to know how! But i agree, it looks lovley!

you have really beautiful hair! keep rocking it:D also i wanted to know what you think about my hair and whether it will grow back, i had pretty thick hair being an asian girl ha, i had the thickest in my family, although my dad had very thick hair so i guess i got it from him:P, anyways as i reached the age of 15, i began losing huge chunks of hair, mainly my hair was very dry and my diet wasnt really good at all, however it started falling because my hair got tangled up easily and when i brushed it, it resulted in huge chunks, at that time i thought it was normal but i wish i did something about it so i could have saved my hair, my hair was getting tangled and tangled where i resulted losing 2/3 of my hair. My hair right now is so thin, literally thin! last year i had alot of medical problems and i was stressed for 3 months due to it, i take my medications aswell, i didnt do anything with my hair because i had other problems, now my health is gone much better, im eating my fruits/veg everyday, drinking more water as before i hardly did! now im 17 and still with thin hair, ive noticed some baby hairs growing on the top, ive got some around my crown area, some are damaged though, even when i had thick hair, i only cut it once a year, when i did, i cut them quite short because my hair grew very long in one year, i will be going for a hair cut and cutting most of my hair off now because its very thin, damaged and alot of split ends... i just want to know if its possible to retrieve the lost hairs? i miss my long thick hair and i just wanted to know if its possible to gain back the thickness, ofcourse it will be quite time consuming but im ready to do whatever it takes to get it! i'd be greatful if you replied :)

i have my hair pretty much as long as yours (but bleached to an almost white colour) and i was wondering, through the whole straightening process, how much hair fell out. I saw that you brush your hair after straightening every strand of hair and when i do this i end up shedding a lot of hair. Mine it's probably a lot more damaged than yours so that's partly the reason, but i was wondering if it happens to other super long haired ppl too :) edit: "i can feel it grazing the back of my knees".....ok you hair is a lot longer ahahaha mine is just below my butt.
@LucysCorsetry9 жыл бұрын
Angelica Cassani I probably lost about 100 hairs doing this, but my hair is so long that it looks like WAY more than that when it's bunched up! Straightening/ styling your hair is a tradeoff - some people have such tangly hair that it's worth risking the heat and shedding damage, in order to have hair that they can easily brush through for the rest of the week and not have breakage or shedding from the knots. But I don't bleach my hair so that may definitely be a factor! I'm really impressed that you can get your processed hair to grow as long as it has! I'm sure you'll reach knee-length before you know it. :)

@ahnavande88568 жыл бұрын
DIYweirdo you should cut it to about your hips or maybe higher. Your hair is alot of weight on your scalp and that could be why some strands are breaking off. Just a suggestion though. Do what makes you happy (:

It is possible for you to experience balding as you grow older, say 45 to 50. So I would recommend oil treatments, getting a wooden brush, and avoid putting it up in a pony tail. If I was you I wouldn't worry about it too much, you're young, and you are obviously healthy if your hair can grow that long.
