What great about Tiber Septim was that he was the first emperor to unite Skyrim. His life was of struggle. A warrior to become dragonborn, then a general with huge power. Then he becomed a emperor and victim of failed assassination on him leading him to lose his voice. Then all he had to unite all tamrial was his tactical brain and loyal army also that dwanmer mechanical giant. Sure he didn't saved the world in any Oblivion crises or during daedra attacks. But when dragonborn went to that Nordic heaven, he found all Nordic heros even Esgamor, but not Tiber Septim. So doesn't it raises the question that might be he could have assended into god hood. Tiber Septim might be his imperial name, but Thalos was his first Nordic name before Tiber Septim.

True, and I'm sure even the Thalmor know that as well, they aren't stupid, but the issue isn't really that 'all men aren't like that', so much as it is, 'men CELEBRATED what Tiber Septim did to us and declared him a god over it'. I'm not forgetting that Tiber Septim killed (or his armies anyways killed) many men as well as elves. For the Altmer, who live so long, and I'm sure there were those alive at the time who remembered what Tiber Septim did that were alive or at least passed along that dislike of men to their descendants. It is one thing for them to be conquered, that I feel the Altmer could handle, but they despised being so humiliated. Hell Tiber didn't even do the deed himself, instead he used his new toy he got from the Dunmer: Numidium, to conquer Summerset (leading to the Altmer to dislike the Dunmer even more than they did before cuz of that). What the Thalmor are doing and how they are acting might not be good either, but at least there can be SOME understanding to it.

As a Khajiit you can actually, lore wise, join the thalmor as an infiltrator due to the good relations between Khajiits and the dominion. You can see this fact in Skyrim with a Khajiit spy in Riften who tries to kill you and if you keep Malborn alive you can find a Khajiit on the road (I believe the encounter is random) sent by the thalmor to stop Malborn from leaving Skyrim.

The game will also include new interesting scenery. However, I hope my immersion will not be broken by "wait a minute...there is a scorchingly hot desert like this in roughly the same latitudes than Skyrims tundra???". With climate like that, it would probably be reasonable from the devs to make water a critical resource (at least on survival difficulty) as well as most heavy armors made of metal heavily taxing on anyone stamina in certain environments.

The Storm Cloaks are a slightly racist, but fight for the the independence of Skyrim as a Sovereign Nation. They draw a closer resemblance to the United States founding fathers, whom some were racist, but they still fought for the Independence of the United States. A racist mindset in a few, does not mean the group as a whole. As where the Thalmors end goal is the genocide of man kind, and world domination. Those goals mirror the Nazi's end goals as well; genocide of the Jews and world domination. I'd take the storm cloaks any day, over the Thalmor.

Although racist individuals do exist inside of Skyrim and its movements, there is not national calling for a persecution of one race. Only a blatant complaint about their national enemies traveling freely in their lands. The Thalmors have many similarities between them and the Nazis. World domination, racial supremacy, and persecution of the Nords, to name a few.
