@maraxussrafhael Жыл бұрын
@@efoxkitsune9493 It is not heavily, maybe 10% or a little more is 'lost'. It is a really short book, why not read it? :D
@efoxkitsune9493 Жыл бұрын
@@maraxussrafhael Hi, well for one, I really wanted to hear it narrated in Christopher Lee's voice haha (which is what I ended up doing then, and it was awesome), and the main reason I didn't just read it is pretty simple: at the time I wrote that comment 8 months ago, I was studying for my BA finals (not sure where you're from, but in my country, there's a huge oral exam to sum up those entire 3 years of study). For its main part, I had to learn about around 150-200 books, ideally read all of them, so I was trying to read as many as I could in a really short time-span. Imagine you spend all day studying (= reading from books or, more frequently, from the computer monitor), morning to night, every day, for weeks... your eyes and your brain get really tired. So that's when audiobooks came to the rescue, haha. Whenever I needed to take a break from the constant reading/studying, I would put on an audiobook, which allowed me to simultaneously relax and keep learning, in a way. So short audiobooks were a blessing. It was intense but I found this system to work pretty well for me. I just did not have the capacity to physically read everything. Btw, in case you're interested to know, I ended up passing the exams :)
@maraxussrafhael Жыл бұрын
@@efoxkitsune9493 I was going to start my previous comment with 'I do not know if it is for a test, but...', haha so my first guess was correct. I 'run' a book club and I read this one in portuguese and in english and now I am listening to it, that is why I told you it is not THAT abridged, at least I could not notcie any change. Concerning the test, I am really glad that you passed, I wish you all the best, for you and your family. God Bless!

@elvenkind60723 жыл бұрын
Unabridged is non-dramatized, a plainly read versjon of the original text. So i can only guess that this is a full reading, but dramatized, since most dramatized versions are shorter, with more drama and less text. The best answer would probably be found in a Wikipedia article...
@paddymeboy3 жыл бұрын
@@elvenkind6072 No, unabridged means that it is the complete text, no cuts. I suppose 'full abridged' means that the recording does not present the complete text, but that this posting presents the complete recording.
