I have been obsessed with No More Heroes ever since I first played it back in 2010 and have never heard of someone see it in such a light and take it to heart like that. The best kinds of games to me are the ones you can still find new things out about years later even after dissecting the hell out of it, leave you thinking about it and still come back to it time and time again. A real classic. Great vid as usual

I did watch several other NMH analysis vids and found it funny each one had different interpretations. Somehow I found the game more optimistic but also acknowledging every dream job will devolve into a regular one.

@@RebelTaxi SPOILER: I have to disagree that being an assassin was Travis' dream because he only became one to impress Silvia, some random chick at a bar who heard Travis' drunken ramblings who then turns out made a fake assassin organization to con everyone out of their money. Still, Travis is just some bored nerd burnout who wanted to feel something. Which is why he's willing to go on a killing spree and to get laid in the process. Travis running around a quiet town doing random odd jobs so he can participate in organized killings shows how bleak and dark the first NMH really was. But of course, everyone has their own perspective of the game.

THANK YOU for addressing how Frank West yells "Dead Rising" in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom! I always found that to be so stupid but nobody ever agreed with me. It's like Fat Princess yelling "FAAAT PRINCEEES" in PlayStation All-Stars.

That was an amazing video I'm so glad somebody talked about Elebits it's one of my favorite games on the Wii and barely anybody talks about it. I really enjoyed you No More Heroes bit and I want you to have the best of luck on the animatic. Also since your covering the Xbox 360 I recommend Viva Piñata Trouble in Paradise and Kameo.

Saw the video cover and hot excited. I loved the hell out of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom! From the music to the aesthetic and characters, this game was dream for my creative head! I'm still frustrated I can't find any of my old games because I always kept them in case. You don't know how badly I'd kill for a full fledged sequel to this game so badly 😭

Best of luck on the animatic, Pan! You're a talented lad with a ton of inspiring influences and ways of showing yourself off, rooting for ya while your pen swipes away. In other news, I can confirm No More Heroes is quite a wild ride. In spite of its faults, there's nothing else like it on the planet, and you can se the series and director grow and mature through the installments as well. Or maybe that's me being crazy and overanalytical, hehe. Either way, wish you nothing but the best.

Forgot to mention, but if you're still collecting for 360 titles (Download or just retail?), a quick aside to Beat'n Groovy could make for some content for a Worst rhythm release aside from Rock Revolution. BnG is a rhythm game with only 9 songs, 1/3rd of which you can play for free. Plus the artstyle is radically different from the series it's based on: pop'n music.

I'd say equally important titles are Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Sonic Colors, Rayman Origins, Megaman 9, and Wario Land: Shake It! Each of these games reinvigorated new life into their respective series all while earning critical praise and delivering a ton of fun. Especially compared to some of the previous slumps that characters like Sonic went through, a all-star game on the Wii looked like heaven.

Gonna admit, that No More Heroes segment hit me a little himself; I too felt like I was getting in a runt during college and wanted to do something else, but I manage to graduate and now trying to get my footing that relates to my interest. Hope you manage to fulfill you passion, Pan, you've definitely have come a long way. As for your XBOX 360 video, maybe Snoopy Flying Ace if that's still playable.

I wonder if the Wii would have done well if it was at least as powerful as the Xbox 360 and had DVD playback. Maybe if they made a separate model that played GameCube too for the Hardcore audience.
