That's a good question. Asking out isn't cringe. The repeated pushing after she politely said "no" was cringe. You like chess. Asking out pretty girls is the same as playing against a GM. In chess: Sure you can go with the cheesy Bishop and Queen checkmate attempt on move 3. But if Magnus politely avoids getting mated by you, you cannot get upset. In dating: Sure you can go and ask out a super hot and intelligent girl like Nemo as a complete stranger in a bar during a live stream but don't get upset if she says no. And don't try to keep forcing the issue. It's sad and embarrassing.

If you ask her out blindly, you have given her power, and women have too much power already. I feel bad for the girl in this video because she is trying to be polite instead of telling the guy to take a flying leap. And to top it all off, the guy tried to cheat by illegally moving his queen. @@danielbaggins7341if no women ever give an indication that she might be interested, then possibly you need to take steps to become a better catch yourself. Maybe cosmetic surgery, work out, better clothes, hygiene, etc. And hang out with guy friends. Women find men more attractive when they have guy friends, as opposed to being a loner. But never come across as needy, like the guy in this video did. Women are more attracted to men who act like they have other things going on in their lives more important than they are. And be honest and ask yourself if you are only going after the gorgeous models. Both sexes are guilty of this: they may get attention from a 6 or 7 as opposed to a 10, and they won't even consider that person, even though they might still be a great catch.

@@dagensdom656 That's fine, but him pursuing in and of itself is not creepy. Firstly, this wasn't a normal interaction where you're just walking by someone and asking them out, they were both in a setting that encourages conversation and a more intimate interaction (intimate as in deeper than surface level interactions like a "hi how are you"). Secondly, this isn't just any person. She's a very attractive, intelligent, talented woman that you don't just see every day. This could have been a once in a lifetime opportunity to find an actually worthwhile partner in a sea full of inadequate options. His attempts weren't rude, nor objectifying, nor were they forceful. So why is he being demonized for simply putting his best foot forward? You don't just give up on someone like that. Doesn't mean you harass them, but he doesn't do that at all. The second he loses the second match, he gracefully exits. I don't understand why politely pursuing a woman, which is what our society has deemed as the proper way of garnering a Woman's affections, (and make no mistake, the way he went about this WAS polite) is now so demonized or wrong.

@@chrishosey7535 It is totally fine to try your chance and despite what you may think everybody agree on that, you miss the point. Just don't insist or ask why you are being rejected. Simple. Why ? Because the first answer won't change just because you insist. Not knowing this much makes you self centered and a not very perceptive person, so learn to read the room, and instant give up after a no. And if you ask why being dicarded, you will maybe force a polite lie ... in both cases you lose even more points. "You don't just give up on someone like that." In fact you do.
@chrishosey75356 ай бұрын
@@neitt4493 This is a very unrealistic view on dating. It is very common for an initial rejection to turn into a long term relationship. So your assertion that the answer won't change, especially in this context where they're actively conversating, is just false. It's not like I'm suggesting harassment. And although you did hint at this not being the case, asking a woman why you were rejected gives the pursuer at least some closure as well as a roadmap for future interactions. Obviously she doesn't owe him an explanation, but he also doesn't owe her a quick exit to avoid any more awkward interactions.
