Maybe I'm wrong, but notice in the scene with the rats, there is that cloud flying above the rats. To me, it looks like what came out of Will the end of season 2. I'm guessing that is part of the Mind Flayer that got locked out in the real world when Eleven closed the gate.

I think I made a big mistake in not rewatching S1 before I started S2. Dark is so complex with so many different time periods and interweaving characters and plot lines that I forgot a lot of things. Im gonna have to go back and rewatch S1 when I’m done and I have to finish it all before ST S3 starts 🤗

The show follows Dungeons and Dragons adventure schemes very well! With that in mind, I think they have reached enough "levels" to finally face the dragon! FUN! The trailer is great in showing enough to give us an idea of the strength and size of the new monster, and I am not sure that it qualifies as demigorgon any more. Cannot wait! Valar Morghulis!

I've heard so many rumors concerning how many more seasons this show will have. The Duffer Bros. hope to at least get to Season 4 at best, maybe Season 5 but I wouldn't count on that. Depending on how they end Season 3, we'll know if there's more to come. But by the way it seems to have been shot, upping the stakes even higher, even possible deaths, I have a feeling this will be the last season. Also have heard talk that El's "sister" she met last season might pop up and also that Matthew Modine's evil doctor may not be dead. I don't buy that last one but the "sister" popping up would be interesting. All I know is that this is going to be one hell of a ride and I am pumped! Mom and I are going to binge it all through July 4th. *screaming with excitement inside)

The sources I trust most seem adamant that it will end at season 5. But it felt a little like a backdoor pilot attempt last season with Eleven's 'sister' so I think there's a strong interest from Netflix in spinoffs. Whether that's still the case after how poorly that episode was received, or whether the Duffers will still be involved is something to speculate about. Even with more seasons, I don't think many characters feel safe this season. Eleven is likely safe because it's really the Eleven show, Will is probably safe because he's had some of the toughest times already, and Lucas might be safe because they might want to avoid falling into the old horror trap of the black guy dying (the equality seesaw is still swinging). I'm worried about Dustin because he feels expendable but he's also a major fan favourite so for a huge emotional gut punch he has a big bullseye on him, Steve being a close second after how much everyone warmed to him. I'm a little worried about Hopper too. If they go killing any core cast I don't think they'll kill more than two but I think they might at least kill one of them.
