Sorry, wasn't trying to spoil anybody. I agree, I'd hate to spoil the surprise on this show, and there's so much per episode, it's really best to limit to just the current one. -- The show does a good job giving everybody good character bits, real roles, and not giving plot points away, adding a piece at a time.

Daniel Walton definitely he's do you want coin the phrase the upside down basically but don't worry no spoilers guys but in the second season you learn that Bob is the one that taught him everything he knew so in my opinion bob is the most under rated and definitely is in the most likeable

idz135 Barb is not overrated, it's just that nobody seems to care about her in the first season. That's why people reacted that way. I felt indentified with her, actually XD. I don't have a lot of family and I'm also kind of similar to her... So, I felt it was like me dissapearing and nobody looking for me at all XD.

First! The Duffer Brothers did such a fantastic job with setting the hook in viewers and then just playing with your mind and emotions. The 80's nostalgia, the acting, the music/soundtrack, sets/overall production all add up to a great viewing experience. Safe bet that you two will continue to enjoy this journey, even though Nikki will probably need more wine before the end of it! LOL!

What makes El so compelling is not only the amazing acting of Millie bringing her to life, but the character has to try and convey so much with so little. It's sad to see people get mad at her when she clearly can't communicate what she wants to say with words. Her confusion and frustration is palpable and it's awesome to see her find ways around the communication breakdowns to show them what she means.

One very good writing decision on this show is that Joyce is clearly fully aware of how crazy she sounds. I've grown very, very tired of characters saying all kinds of crazy shit, and the story making out the people not believing them to be wrong just because we the audience know it's true, even though no one would ever take it seriously delivered like this. Eleven in the dress and wig has been a VERY popular Halloween costume the past couple years. It's a close second in the impact the show has had on pop culture. I like to think that guy who punched Richard Spencer was inspired by Hopper.

Funny point I'd forgotten, noticed again in the rewatch. -- When the boys give Eleven a makeover, how is it that three boys (mostly Mike?) manage to get her makeup to look really good, without it ending up hilariously bad first? Hahaha. The wig, though, perhaps makes up for that. Maybe it's because they're in A.V. club? Or Mike had a theatre class? Maybe he just has an unknown talent. :D I am pretty sure the first results would be pretty goofy-looking for most boy, trying that their first time. But Mike was being careful. Anyway, it was a really cute bonding scene, and we get Eleven's second iconic look. -- Hint: epic Eggo waffle-ness upcoming.
