I could soooo relate to Dustin at the end of this episode. I have been bullied pretty much my whole childhood. So i know exactly how he felt in that moment.

Same. Also, being confident only to be let down, except there was no Nancy. I remember going to the skating rink thinking I'm gonna get myself a girlfriend, but every time I asked someone out, they laughed. One of them even played a cruel joke on me. Shit like that fucked me up so much, I lost a bunch of opportunities because I was so insecure from experiences like that. Like one older girl at school came to sit by me and told me I was cute. I told her to go away because I didn't believe her. I thought she was pranking me. I went to the skating rink another time, and had green spiky hair, and all the girls wanted to feel it and came to sit by me. I was so jaded that I never thought these girls were interested in me. Same with one of my sister's friends who was cuddling with me one night and let me touch her boob lol. She kept licking her lips and talking about kissing but dumbass insecure me didn't get the message and missed out on a first kiss.

This is a great episode! Lots of tense moments, and then the lovely scene at the dance at the end! My favorite part was knowing that Hopper was now the legal father of El (and loved their scene on the way to close the gate). Great reaction! Can't wait for 3x1!!

Mileven at the Snowball...and they only had to wait a whole year lol. Can't think of a better feel-good moment off the top of my head. Mike & Eleven are great, their on-screen chemistry is amazing, and Mike as a character gets a lot of criticism for being whiney after season 1, which I don't get because for someone at that age dealing with a broken heart, it's completely understandable. Great reaction, on to season 3.

The boys actually would be fine in the tunnels if the gates closed because it's still our world they're in remember, just like Eleven is underground closing the gate too so if they were in danger for that so would El and Hopper. The upside down was spreading into our world, hence why they had those spitting things in the tunnels that sprayed on Hopper & Dustin, those things change the our atmosphere to make it like his (Thr Mind Flayers) side. The upside down is dark, cold and full of decay etc. Which I think is what those spores are floating around and being spat/sprayed out.

Fun fact, the plate that Billy smashes over Steve's head? Yeah, that was a real ceramic plate...apparently there was a prop there on the counter that was designed to shatter without hurting the actors (like sugar glass, but not transparent), but Billy (dunno the actor's name) accidentally grabbed the wrong plate and just swung it full force into Steve's head (again, dunno the actor's name)...director & producers figured they wouldn't get a better clip if they did reshoots with the prop plate (and probably didn't want to risk continuing to hit the actor in the head) so they went ahead and used that version for the show.

Thanks so much guys season 2 100% my fave season. Now we look forward to season 3 which has a definite change of feel, a bigger action packed and comedic season which uses direct homage from all the 80s Action movies with some great replicated scenes from well known films aswell as some great comedy sequences too . Important to go into season 3 realising that the kids will look a bit different due to the time span between filming season 2 and 3 which will be made more obvious because your gap between seasons is 7 days and not nearly 2 years when originally aired on Netflix.

It’s not revenge, the creature targeted a threat to it’s existence and bridge into this dimension (Eleven) and it is tracking it. Seems clear enough, we have no idea if the creature has been successful before or it has not displayed an ego yet either so that seems a leap in logic.
