Two things: 1) vecna wasn't leading the kids anywhere intentionally, their flashlights picked up his movement and they followed. 2) Netflix didn't make the decision to split the season up, the creators did, in an effort to not make us wait any longer while they finish up the final episodes. Originally vol. 1 was only 5 episodes and vol. 2 was 4 episodes, but we got 7 cause they finished editing them in time.
@adamburke47382 жыл бұрын
The decision to make vol 1 seven episodes should have been the decision to just release the whole season.

The reason Steve didn't know to get immediately out of the water and into the boat is because unlike you guys, he hasn't SEEN all of the 80's horror movies yet. So he doesn't know how to survive one. Duh. 🙄😉🤣🤣

I don't think Vecna is leading them to his lair on purpose, but rather when he's plugged in he is not aware of his surroundings. They stumble on him almost accidentally.

The Suzie house scenes are perfection, the Duffer Brothers are brilliant. The only thing that would have made it better would have them had Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy cameo as her parents in a second nod to Wargames.

15:46 That's really funny. I'm old enough to remember when people actually didn't take the internet seriously. Businesses wouldn't have dreamed (in those days) of wasting time trying to have a presence online and most people thought it was just something that kids messed around on and that it would eventually go away. I guess most world-changing things start with people dismissing it as unimportant.

The series has a rather strange line with the Soviet Union. It's 1986, not 1956 :) In the real timeline, the "American" would have been released. After all, these are the times of Gorbachev, the amnesty of prisoners in honor of the 70th anniversary of the revolution. Andrei Sakharov was also released in 1986, for example (the creator of the hydrogen bomb). The camps shown in the series were closed in 1960 by order number 20 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR. And yes, not on a sad note - Elton John performed in 1979, in Moscow and Leningrad, 35 rubles (this is the currency) ticket. And in 1986, everyone was already listening to Deep Purple Perfect Strangers :)
@SorchaSublime2 жыл бұрын
I think this is meant to be the kgb acting independently, possibly leading into the conspiracy theory that the kgb intentionally had the soviet Union collapse. Either way, with their demogorgon experiments they are preparing for war, the question really is who with.
@nikita15782 жыл бұрын
@@SorchaSublime In fact, the Soviet Union ruined Gorbachev. For example, the policy of "acceleration" (when old machines work in three shifts instead of one) led to hard wear and tear on equipment. Therefore, a bunch of man-made disasters (the most famous is Chernobyl 1986). Long-playing problems - Afghanistan (1979-1989), my father's friend pretended to be a psycho so as not to get into the army (no one needed this war). But even that would not have destroyed the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union collapsed (mostly) because the price of oil fell in February 1991, because the Americans agreed with Saudi Arabia about this. Therefore, in Russia, the 90s were years of poverty, banditry, border conflicts (after all, if you cannot provide for the region, it wants to secede, which means you need to keep it by force of arms) and disappointment in the Western path. And many still remember the USSR with warmth, but the USSR of the 70-80s, when you could work at an enterprise and get an apartment for free, when you would not be unemployed. In the 80s, a samovar is a device for making tea, in the 90s a samovar is when bandits cut off your legs, arms, head and find only your torso. But I love the 90s. My youth. "I live in Wai Believe me, I don't know fear But from this terrible thought There is a chattering in the teeth. You live on Chizhovka And you won't get through. So chizhovskie will see That you won't get home. Very strange things What life has brought. I can't go to my beloved They may meet on the way." (the literal translation of the song 90, gas sector group, punk rock, appeared 1987 but in the 90s they continued , Chizhovka and Wai - different parts of the city)
@nikita15782 жыл бұрын
@@SorchaSublime Funny fact. I was born in the Soviet Union, so I constantly travel between Russia, Belarus, Ukraine (the family is now divided). So - in Belarus, the KGB still exists in 2022 and there is a death penalty. Therefore, you can really be shot in the back of the head by the KGB after the terrorist attack in the Minsk metro (in 2011).
