Chloe lost her mom too. The strength she showed in putting aside her own grief in order to show up for Charlotte is a testament to her love and an honor to the mom they lost. Your baby and sister are lucky to have you.
@sherryab39642 жыл бұрын
Isn’t she though? What an amazing sister. Such a blessing all the way around. Clearly, their Mom must have been amazing to have raised a beautiful young woman and I’m sure it must have been a comfort for her knowing that her youngest daughter would he raised by her oldest daughter.

Yikes. What kind of a school does this dear child attend? Only 1 child responded? What ugly, crude, cruel parents at this school. She will always remember, even though she had a nice party. Karma will take care of those uncaring parents and their spawn. Happy Birthday from a retired teacher and grandma. I am so sorry for you and Charlotte with Mother gone. May peace and angels and flowers hold you up and keep you going.

I was once the only child in my class to show up to a slumber party and I remember having the absolute best time! We did face masks and there was a “nail salon” that her mom and older sister “worked.” I remember being so amazed, even at 8, at how much effort was put into the party, and also quite a bit sad that I was the only person outside of the birthday girl to appreciate all that hard work. I’ll always make sure my kids are kind and show up to support their friends!

I was once a 7 or 8 year old who had no one show up for a birthday party. I am now 58 & every year on my birthday it crosses my mind. It is truly traumatizing. Bless those mom's & others who had compassion & showed up for a stranger.

I hope the one classmate that RSVP'd could make it and that their kindness was also recognized. Like big sister said, we should focus on who made it because the ones who chose not to, aren't really needed.
@rickgarza41672 жыл бұрын
I will have to agree. Those who were cold hearted and did not come to the birthday party are insignificant. It's really not these cruel mothers' children's fault for their callous, mean, pathetic personalities, but their horrific mothers' personalities for the rogue manner in how they're raising bullies and children with an indifferent feelings toward humanity. It's no reason we have so many children growing up to be sociopaths.
@jeremybyington2 жыл бұрын
I am hesitant to throw the classmates under the bus just yet. I am really curious how the RSVP went down. If it was just a verbal announcement to the class first thing in the morning then who knows how many kids were actually paying attention. If it was emailed to each parent by the teacher then there definitely should’ve been more than one show up. For sure it is a lesson for each no-show and their parents to process and grow from.

My son is 22 years old. When he was in elementary school he’d get invited to classmates’ birthdays. As you did, the invitations were to all classmates. There were 2 parties we attended, even though he did not know the classmates well, where he ended up being the ONLY child to show up. It was heartbreaking. The parents had planned for many kids and nobody came. It was a chance for my son to learn about other peoples feelings, kindness, and just plain humanity. We still talk about it today. I will be forwarding him your story. He will tear up hearing it, as I’m sure everyone watching has. You are a wonderful sister to her. I wish you all the best. 💕
@kathleenardrey50942 жыл бұрын
Same situation for my now 45-year-old son. He still remembers being the only boy who came to a boy's party. We were horrified; we ended up staying with our baby and visiting with the parents while the two boys played. We did play some of games. They took all the party stuff over to a nearby nursing home afterwards: balloons, little gifts, all the cupcakes, favors. I was sad; our son has never forgotten how rotten these affluent, snotty classmates were.

I wanted to let you know that I see you, and I sure mean that I respect and admire what your doing for your sister and yourself. I went through brain surgery 7years ago. I can tell you, that I feel very alone at times. The people that know about my Surgery either looked at me like I had horns on my head and left or they say there my friend but we never talk or do anything. I almost feel there's a stima or fear around a person living after brain surgery. Once they know, they look at you different, and your loved ones. I'm not sure if they mentioned where you both are from. I'm from Wisconsin, and would have helped. Please know I'm so proud of you, and you're Amazing in every way. Oh I'm Brenda Stevens by the way.Take Care😍
