That was definitely not normal. I think you’re right with the defrost board theory. I think the board could be bad and wasn’t sending proper voltage to the motor causing it to spin slower than usual, which is probably why it frosted up like that

I agree, and the other night with the screeching fan motor could have been a voltage issue from the board. time will tell what the problem is :)

Well that was a malfunction if I've ever seen one!

Definitely, weird thing is it hasn't done it since! that is typical of Goodman, they are known for bad/faulty defrost boards.
