Totally awesome Dr. Ben! Thank goodness for the witty Irish to boot! ;) Dang; you guy's are even showing the pathway details for our genetic mutations. Perfect! And we love the science, instead of just passively doing what caregivers say. WE want to be our main caregivers & understand how to navigate our lifestyles.., BECAUSE we understand the science & pathways, inhibitors & so on..

Totally hear you. I know that many people WANT to learn. They just have the WRONG tools in their hands. My goal is to get you all the right tools. Of course, the non-motivated people will not like StrateGene. It's not for them. Proud of you all who are committed. It is you and others like you who are going to transform medicine. Sitting back and accepting bad medicine is approving it. Standing up, learning and informing your health professional that there are alternatives out there which are scientific and actionable is key. What do you call a medical student who graduates at the bottom of their class? A DOCTOR. DOH.

Dr Ben Lynch Just thank you so much - you & all of your team. For once I feel lucky being sick.., for all the Methylation voices out there, you're the one that manages to stay out of the misdirected rip tides that drag what could be good medicine out to sea. You just have a way of staying sober & even though many can see the pathways.., you keep it all truly functional. You kick a little but to dude! It's my sincere hope that medical agencies & what not will consult with you & very much learn from you & your team. Really, what you guys are doing here, is what the people have been needing! This one grew up in Bothell (and you're kind of my hero). Have a awesome week. :)

Thank you :) That's the goal - keeping it real. For more information - If you cannot fall asleep at night, you will want to clear out the histamine, dopamine, norepinephrine and glutamate. That's done by speeding up the genes/enzymes which clear them and slow down giving them more fuel to make more neurotransmitters. If your itching and struggling with insomnia or have high histamine (related!), then you want to clear out histamine. Then you reduce the amount of stuff that comes into making histamine and speeding up how the genes/enzymes get rid of it.

One more thing - we are working on a very large amazing project which is going to absolutely transform medicine. Super pumped about it. It's very costly so working to raise some capital or get investors but we're onto something massive! ;)

@@DrBenLynch Does your new testing have anything to do with recommending an actual treatment plan for the patients? I had a child that came in yesterday and he had very high pyroluria, was compound homozygous for c677t and a1298c, along with a myriad of abnormal OAT results. I have watched hours of your videos hoping for guidance not only some basic interpretation but for even the most generic treatment protocols for the children and young adults I see. I practice non-traditional Western medicine. I refill atypical antipsychotic medication for kids whose parents say that it is transformative for their children's lives. I prescribed stimulants for children that are literally non-functioning, not only in the classroom, but in the arena of life. The parents have cut out wheat and dairy, most processed foods and sugars yet there is no changing their child behavior or ability to function and learn. When I do an organic acid test and I see abnormal levels of HVA or VMA, etc, I want to know how best to treat the whole person. I would literally pay money for a consult with you about several of my patients that have been to three, four, five psychiatrists, psychologists, multiple pediatricians, and have come to me because they heard that I was the one they could help them. So I do everything I can to educate myself yet when I watch your videos, I have yet to find, at the end of all of the pomp and circumstance of natural healing, any functional plan, even with all of the results, to actually treat the patient. I hope to God that all the money that you are sinking in to your new technologies provide more than esoteric answers on decreasing stress and eating healthier, because all that does is simply lay the burden back on the Family:-( If you have any insights to share, I would greatly appreciate a response at millerfamilypediatrics@gmail.com Thank you for your time.

Are you ever going to add support from other testing companies besides 23andme? I had my genes tested by Genes for Good (which provides the data in 23andme format - along with other formats) and would like to upload that.

Dr. Lynch, when you list factors influencing certain SNPs, how do we know whether we WANT to upregulate or downregulate function?
@DrBenLynch
@DrBenLynch 7 жыл бұрын
You need to understand the effect of the gene/enzymes substrate - what goes into it. If you have high homocysteine, then you want to speed up the genes/enzymes which help reduce it. If you have low dopamine and you can't think or concentrate, then you want to slow the genes/enzymes down which eliminate it and support the ones above it to make more dopamine.
@StudioSilver

Dr. Lynch, I am just ordering 23 & Me, and then going to use Strategene. I hope both issues high homocysteine, 3x's higher than normal & fog/concentration issues are covered in the recommendations, I have 2 copies of MTHFR +/+ Thank you

I wonder, if you plan to accept other agencies DNA tests? Such as Tellmegen. Is it a format that is a problem? If yes, maybe we can convert it. Also, I am wondering, if you expelain in the report, what specific gene numbers define if it is a slow or fast COMT/MAOA and so on? I loved your book for practical recommendations, but it didn't explain at all on what specific genes it was based. There are so many COMT, PEMT, and NOS3 genes.

When the gene is just blue and thin- it sais "no SNP data"- do you mean that You have not included data on this SNP or that you have not been able to find the SNPs for this gene in my test results so you cannot say if it is green yellow or red?

Hi John - we now have our own genetic test - which is far superior to 23andme or Ancestry. We have about 40% more SNPs called in our report compared to either of the other companies. www.seekinghealth.com/products/strategene-dna-kit

Might some genes tested 'Green' being the norm ever be not as good and 'red' or 'yellow' ? Are there times where 'red' might be best instead of considered different in a good way? What if those variances are there for some unknown purpose? A lot is still not known right? Kinda like things are not always as they appear good and bad bacteria, good parasites and bad parasites etc ? Love your work and your products Dr. Lynch

I'm desperate. I'm curious if this report will help even if i can't afford to pay a professional to go over it. I'm 36 years old and was left to die six years ago with a rare anoxic brain injury that killed of both sides of my basal ganglia resulting in parkinsonism and dystonia. i also have severe depression. i uploaded my raw data to a bunch of free sites. i have a bunch of risks for neurological conditions and family history of things uch as lupus, parkinson,alzheimer, macular degeneration, CHF, MS AND MORE. i lost my career as an occupational therapist and am on ssdi. i also have post lasik ectasia. i'm deathly afraid of ending up blind ,in a wheelchair, with dementia and in a medicaid nursing home for the poor without family. DOes this report give enough information for the lay person to turn off the negative genes? i'm poor and have to consider even the low cost of $45. i have to do my own study on epigenetics. i'm anxious at the moment as i also have insomnia and fear a future even worse than my present. Unfortuanetllyk, my environment is terrible-isolation but i cdan control my diet. thanks.

Raw data is one thing - applying it to pathways using known human biochemistry is another. Does StrateGene provide immediate answers and diagnoses and treatments? No. It provides ways to help you understand why you may be susceptible to various things and why - and then gives you insights into what may help or hinder. We have thousands of lay people using StrateGene doing just this. Many are pleased - the majority. 10% of our customers are not happy because they want a quick fix and tell me what to do. StrateGene doesn't do that. If you want to use StrateGene to help discover things and work within a community, then yes, it will help you. Within the StrateGene community are also fantastic health professionals who help with information and do consults. StrateGene's potential is based on the user - if driven and committed, you'll experience tremendous insights and start improving. If not, well, it's not the right fit.

It's a useless test without recommendations for supplements. Providers may as well just give pharmaceuticals if the the experts developing or recommending the tests can't also recommend whether to take magnesium or not and at what dose, or p5p, or methylfolate or methylcobalamin and a recommendation for dosage. Just to simply say something is high or low is useless. I just watched 20-plus minutes of somebody saying nothing about how to implement the results. Again, I have the utmost respect for Dr. Lynch, but, him saying, "if you have dish in this, and you have this in this, it's a problem" is as relevant to sing, hey you've got stuff going on so, you need to do something about it. The patient says, what should I do about it based on the results, and it provider says, I don't know I can't really make recommendations about supplements, but you should change your lifestyle and environment. Patient says okay what should I do and the provider says you need to decrease your stress and exercise more, and you need to eat really healthy foods. Patient says, I already do all that, but I still feel like hell. Can you give me any more information about what I should do? Well, I don't know. These are just for reference points. But thank you for your money! Please for God's sakes, somebody direct me to an action plan so I don't have to keep prescribing pharmaceuticals.
