Pakistan’s frustration is understandable. It has failed in almost every front. If it still wants to survive as a nation, it must learn to accept reality, stop comparing itself with India and shun terrorism as an instrument of statecraft

Bharat’s strategic autonomy is not dependent upon the American noblesse oblige.

Cheema, pardon me if this comment appears churlish. You referred to the American ambassador to Bharat as Mr. Eric. His full and is Eric Garcetti. The conventional way is to address him as Ambassador Garcetti.

The U. S. exercises strategic autonomy itself. The American relationships with China and Pakistan are not dependent upon the strategic concerns of Bharat. Henry Kissinger reportedly quipped ‘to be America’s enemy is dangerous and to be its friend is deadly.’ Bharat is aware that the U. S. does not hesitate for a moment to throw an ally or friend under the bus for its national interests. For Bharat, Russia is a time-tested friend, where as the U. S. is a Johnny come lately as a friend .
