Those of us who speak Spanish are aware of el Estepario’s approach to drumming from his interviews (some of which are in YT)… he’s just a sociologist who happened to love drumming, and his approach to practicing, structuring solos and managing his career is truly organic. He’s brilliant. Yes, show-offy on the videos, but mostly to sustain the channel; otherwise, he’s a regular dude, humble, self-deprecating at times. He deserves all the praise he can get.

Greetings. I played drums from 1984 well into late 90s and as a drummer, I remember something Dave Wekl said about his technique.... "Whatever it is I'm doing, you will notice that if one hand pauses, the other is taking over whether it's 4, 8, or 16th notes." In short, what one hand is NOT doing, the other IS! This man has taken that 2 or 3 levels up. He's very versatile in his technique and has a wide range of abilities in how to play rolls and fills. I WAS absolutely impressed when I first saw him and he's very entertaining to watch. 😊❤️🤘🤘

4:48; Anyone who says those things has no clue just how insanely difficult it is to do what he does with such precision. For those who make these sorts of comments I would say; Sure! Ok... Great! So then in that case, now you do it. Oh, and BTW, make sure you do it on a 3 piece kit.............. We're waiting........... Yeah, that's what I thought punk. He does a couple of videos that are an absolute masterclass on polyrhythms. He makes it look sooooo easy! The thing I think people don't take into account is the extreme coordination it takes to pull off 4 different time signatures (one for each limb) at the same time! When you have guys like Mike Portnoy describing Siberiano as "a once in a generation phenomenon", you can bet he's probably a pretty solid player. Now the question is; (A) Do I just admit defeat and quit, or (B) Do I spend every waking second practicing and hope to become even 1/10th the drummer he is some day?

The only thing more entertaining than watching El Estepario videos is watching reaction videos from professional drummers, musicians and music industry folks. Most of them basically fall out of their seat which is what I do every time a new video comes out. It’s just sad to think someday we may lose the amazement because we get so used to his incredible talent!

There are some mind boggling drummers out there, but I have yet to see anything this technical, this musical, this level of precision, this creativity, and this confident.

He is WOOW. And his drumming immidiately reminded me of Chicago´s > I´m a man < Big smile and a hug from `mini Solvang / Denmark. 🥰🥰. Lene/🇩🇰

THIS GUY is astonishing!!! I'm not shooting from the hip here, I started taking drum instruction from a LEGENDARY drum instructor whose pupils went onto spawn their own cadre of famous drummers in their own right at the age of six🤓 When I see Thomss Lang, Vinnie Coluata, or Marco Minnemann play something challenging, I think to myself, "Given enough rehearsal and disassembly, I could play that"... But THIS GUY😂

GREAT PICK Paisan! I know exactly what you mean. I get the same feeling watching his fills as I do from watching the Valeriy’s runs.

I agree 100 percent with you. You are absolutely right. He is outstanding. And small minds and talentless hacks, will never understand genius.
