You left out the part about the hours of practice. ;)
@iRafaelkr6 жыл бұрын
Well, I guess you just start with the 2 strings and set a goal of speed (or bpm if you're using a metronome) and then increase speed when you feel confortable with that. After that goal was reached move on to the next (3 strings) and so on
@robertgoodwinr65235 жыл бұрын
That's the guitar, unfortunately or enjoying the journey - it takes hours of practice everyday to be good at it.

What a great tutorial..NOW I KNOW HOW TO SWEEP! Takes me more than 5 minutes , but that still the most accurate video out there
@chasemcdaniel36204 жыл бұрын
You're not explaining the trick to playing it fast. That last note on the e string is picked with rotational picking. The hand rotates like doing spirit fingers. 👋 You have to escape from the strings in a split second. The first part of sweeping is straight down and up. The hard part is building that string escape movement. It's all door knocking movements, and leg scratching movements, and spirit fingers. 👋

thanks Straten , I had some doubt about picking up sweep picking in 5-min. but as I watched ,I was able to play along with you and did complete the entire 1st sweep picking pattern you played , in fact, I had my guitar on and started playing right as you did, before I knew it, I was making up a gang of different patterns from watching your 1st pattern , you can take that type or pattern use all over the neck, as long as it sounds good who cares where the notes are as long as it sounds bad ass , its bad ass, your ears will tell you that, if it sounds like hell then it sounds like hell, but if it sounds cool and you like the way it sounds then it must sound cool make sense anyone?? let your ears do the work for you, one thing I discovered, sometimes looking at the neck and frets fucks me up, more so than if I play with my eyes closed ,and just listen to what im playing you,ll soon realize and gain a better feeling of how the notes sort of come together as you develop your feel for the neck along with each note and where it feels and sounds cool, you,ll be playing all kinds of cool stuff sooner than you may think by using this sort of technique , playing with my eyes closed works for me, that's all im saying it helped me progress in every aspect of guitar playing, my speed, patterns, how I want the note to sound, you,d be surprised by how good you,ll become by using your ears as a helpful tool in that it helps you or at least it helped me to become a lot better all the way around , that's all im saying , but then ive always loved playing guitar ,im always practicing ,now that is a must do, you,ll never get good if you don't practice , you HAVE TO PRACTICE if you want to become a good guitar player ,like anything else in life you have to work at it, your only going to get out of it , what you put into it, bottom line, theres no such thing as a short cut with playing the guitar, its either in you , or its not ,its just that simple ,

@dinalinda30685 жыл бұрын
Thank for your lesson bro!!
@RhythemNBlues4 жыл бұрын
You'll need to work on it some everyday. You'll suck at it at first but then you'll start to pick it up plus it not a skill you can just learn and then forget about. It's something you have to put in your practice routine. Palm and picking thumb muting are necessary to play cleanly.

Hi thanks for the lesson Very helpful... I'm a little confused; you played 16th fret on the high E string which is a G# I thought you would need a G natural (15th fret) in an E minor arpeggio since G natural is what makes an E minor minor rather than Major You played a G natural on the 4th string one octave lower, do those notes not clash?
