Stratia's newest product is launching and they allowed me the privilege and honor of testing it out over the course of the last month! This looks amazing! I'm trying to find a more fiscally responsible purchase. I've been using Paula's Choice 0.3% retinol with 2% bakuchiol. It's spendy even with a coupon.

I love their liquid gold and soft touch aha, you can tell they are great formulations because none of the ingredients irritate. It is all balanced out well.

They do such a great job balancing effective ingredients in nourishing, gentle formulations! Plus they're so transparent in their formulation as well

I got some The Ordinary retinol in squalane and it was about expired, so I ordered Night Shift. I have lovely, normal skin, but it is 67-years-old skin, so I thought some skin care would be a good idea. I found your review (thank you!) by searching how often I should use Night Shift. I can't find anything on the website. I was using The Ordinary's .5% retinol twice a week (and, sorry folks, but with my hearty, normal skin never had any issues at all) along with Krave Beauty's AHA once a week. I'm continuing this regimen with the Night Shift. Is that enough? Should I be using it more often? You are exactly right, though. It is beautifully formulated and just a pleasure to apply. I know this comment comes late to the party, but the content in this video is so helpful that I will be subscribing!

With retinoid, starting slow and easing into it is a great way to make sure you get no adverse effects, but eventually once your skin adjusts, you can apply it as frequently as your skin can tolerate along with other actives. I use tretinoin or other retinol like 5 days a week now, either in conjunction with or alternating with exfoliating actives. Both the Night Shift and the Krave AHA are great intro products that are gentle, so they get you acclimated, but they’re also great gateways to stronger versions as well. So use these until you’re more comfortable to step up to more frequent usage! I hope this helped. But the way you talk about usage makes me so proud!

I enjoy hearing about new brands and this product has some great ingredients.. I’m currently using the 1% retinol in squalene by The Ordinary. I’ve been hearing a lot about retinal which is in some Avene products which I’m interested in trying. 👍🏾

The 2% Granactive Retinoid was my first intro into retinoids years ago! And yeah, retinal or retinaldehyde is the conversion step between retinoic acid and retinol, so it’s more potent than retinol and requires a smaller conversion. It’s the strongest of the retinoids you can get commercially. I’ve never personally tried it, but I’m alllll about more bang for my buck

If I never tried started any form of retinoids, do you recommend using stratia retinol cream once or twice a week first then every other day and then possibly every night if my skin can handle it ?

I'm currently using the naturium 2.5% retinol cream and I've experienced no adverse reactions even though I'm using it mostly every night, I think retinol creams are the best way for me to be consistent about using, I'm not great with serums on a nightly basis. I was going to try the Neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair cream next but I've heard good things about liquid gold so maybe I'll check this out! I haven't been putting the naturium cream around my eyes but since I haven't had any burning or peeling do you think I could try it there?
