Stratia is bae. Their rewind serum, night shift, and liquid gold have really helped my skin’s tone and texture. I’d say this brand is perfect for people who are interested in trying actives, but don’t want to break the bank. Plus, they always have coupons.

Yes, agreed - and in cosmetically elegant formulas too! I think that part surprised me the most as they're all such unique formulas that I wasn't sure how the texture would be. They're all very, very well made!

I totally agree with you about trying before buying. Sephora has soooooo many minis, so whenever I want to try a new product I buy the mini (when available). I really wanted to try the Shani Darden Retinol Reform but just couldn't see spending $80 on something I had never tried before. Luckily, they had a mini for $30, so I decided to try it. I'm actually really glad I did that because I just wasn't that impressed. Love your channel and your commitment to trying new products!

That particular product!!! Retinol reform changed the way I view skincare, even though I'm completely with you in not paying $80 for it. I got the $30 mini and it worked SO well. I didn't really want to spend $80 (which, let's be honest - we no longer need to ever spend that much on skincare, unless we simply want to splurge). So I started looking up the research on her formula. Turns out that AHA and retinol absolutely can be used together. So now, I do just that with less pricey products!

I started liquid gold 2 weeks ago and I am loving it then started Soft touch 2 days ago and so my far my face is handling very well. My face hates glycolic.

It's so rare to find a product that is solely mandelic - seems like most brands just HAVE to throw in some glycolic as well. Really appreciate that Stratia made this option available!

Stratia gold moisturizer is a staple for the nights when I use Tretinoin. Yellow, a little bit of unpleasant smell but...that does not matter when I get the results. And they are good.

I think Skinfix is a great product line to look into if you have issues with your skin barrier. They have a barrier plus cream that is great. I use it after I do a chemical peel.

So far I haven't found a product from stratia my skin didn't Love! I could easily just only have stratia products, and my skin would be perfectly happy for now. 💚 their auto-ship subscription keeps me going!

Oh can't wait for Beauty of Josean!!! I just ordered the 3 serums and their Ginseng Essence Water. I haven't opened them because I'm TRYING to be better about using products up before opening new ones to cut back on wasting anything. I have have tried the Liquid Gold and the niacinamide serum from Stratia. I really liked the niacinamide. The liquid gold I only seem to reach for in emergency situations as I don't think it entirely agrees with my skin on a regular basis. Since I only use it when I've done some sort of damage to my skin it's been hard to tell if that's the cause of the breakouts of if it's the Liquid Gold. I suspect the former, rather than it actually being the product itself since it has a fairly neutral formulation.

I've always been curious about trying more from this brand but have yet to order anything. As I seem to be drowning in cleaners, oils and creams and those are the products I'm most interested in. The soft touch aha intrigues me, but I find these type of products harder to fit into my ridiculous routine🤣

My own plan is to save liquid gold for when I really need it too! (Although less because of issues and more because it's not a product I can easily run out to Ulta to replace haha). Team Ridiculous Routine here!! It's becoming less popular to use a lot of products, but god - it works for me. 🤷‍♀️

I’m pretty sure you’re smelling the sea buckthorn oil in the Stratia Gold. My sea buckthorn oil has a funky smell to it too lol.

It definitely could be! It must be a LOT of sea buckthorn tho as I've never smelled it in oil blends. Granted, that yellow color? It's probably very, very high in it haha!

Hi, can you also do a review on "Mary and May" a Korean brand? I saw their website which seems cool, they incorporated really good ingredients in their products and wishing to buy their products from Yesstyle, especially their Houttuynia Cordata+Tea Tree serum and peptide serum. But there isn't enough reviews on the products. Love your reviews. I'm eyeing on the Stratia Nightshift as well. ☺️

I am a huge fan of Stratia even though I am not using any of their products at the moment. Also extremely excited about your upcoming review of Beauty of Joseon. Have a nerdy science question for you. I’ve heard many people say that mandelic acid is safe for people with nut allergies even though it’s derived from hazelnuts. How can that be? Please advise!! ❤️❤️

I believe it's derived from bitter almonds? But yeah, definitely possible. It's isolated from natural sources, which means if other components of the nut are the source of the allergy, then the isolated mandelic acid might work.

I got the sampler set during the Black Friday sale. You “described” the smell of the liquid gold to a tee! Haha I can’t say what it smells like either but kinda sorta like a fish oil vitamin. I have a question, what can u layer with the soft touch AHA? Do u use it during your night time routine? I have it sitting there because I’m not sure what it can/cannot be used with and at what point in the routine😅 Thanks so much!

The smell of Liquid Gold to me is exactly like kratom (an opioid/weed-esque plant that a lot of people use in herbal medicine). I love the stuff but it's not enough as a moisturizer for me, either. I like to top it with their Fortify oil, which is one of the best oils I've ever used.

The krave great barrier relief had a very odd smell too idk it lingers as well it's almost like some *kind of herbs oregano idk it's that stuff called Tamura oil I guess that makes it smell like that. I want to try this stratia brand now maybe the ret cream idk what to try first lol I must be like u the mini queen and try it all😂 u know I like my minis. I typically use a very gentle cleansing water, but I’ve occasionally switched to cleansing in the AM just to test out products in these trials. It can be done with gentle products, although I still ultimately prefer my beloved Fresh kombucha (and no water at all!) - it might be somewhat influenced by the hard water in my area too

I went this weekend and they had absolutely nothing interesting - just skincare that you could absolutely tell was used (so gross) and the same off brand brush sets as always. I still bought candles though because I was determined to leave with something fun haha!

@@AliceintheRabbitHole omg yes yuck...I try to get the stuff that is locked up ware they cant open the stuff and the omarivica stuff is locked in plastic cases u cant get in they have to open when u cash out along with the perricone strivectin late summerville and higher end brands even saw a skinsuticuls set their last year yep all locked up ..that's when I feel the best about my purchases some of the cheaper stuff they dont bother but the better stuff my store locks down so people cant steel or put their grimy fingers in it..lol
