Made this today, although I swapped strawberry for frozen forest fruits as strawberries are not in season at the minute....and I already had frozen forest fruits. In the absence of fresh fruit I made a forest fruit coulis and sprinkled some frozen raspberry pieces on top. Truly delicious.

I cannot wait to try this. I love strawberries. But I always use salt and pepper, very small amounts to enhance the flavor and give it a little POP. Maybe we can add a little liquor to the strawberry topping. Amaretto? Bourbon? Spiced rum?

theonlyari yes I think that would supplement fine though I wouldn't recommended them unless they're fried, that way you have your crumb substitute too.

I use a tomato shark to remove the stems. Works like a charm very quickly and with very little waste and no blade to cut yourself.

yeah, they reformulated alot of the plastic wraps a few years ago to use more ecologically safe chemicals in its manufacture and it results in a less sticky wrap. That's why a few brands started selling super sticky wrinkled saran wrap that sticks to everything like glue (but is like 3 or 4 times the price due to being much thicker) such as "Glad Press'N Seal"
