One of the most memorable 'concerts' I ever went to (and I did the see the Strawbs several times) was Dave Cousins and Brian Willoughby doing an acoustic tour of 'Old School Songs'. Intimate, small setting - chance to speak to the guys etc. Memorable.

Great to see John Ford, Blue Weaver and Brian Willoughby at the last gig, but I'm really sad that Dave Lambert and Chas Cronk weren't there. They've been such a huge part of the band for so long.

Took me right back to the mid 70s, Kent University, Canterbury - possibly my first gig (although that might have been The Groundhogs, or Jon Hiseman's Tempest - simply can't remember). Grave New World the album of my teens. A true privilege to be there for their last performance, I got a little bit teary. Go well Dave.

They played at Canterbury university circa October 1972. My girlfriend and I saw them one Saturday evening. A very memorable evening.

Thanks for posting as was unable to get to Crop' but good to see Dave and the boys. First came across them Strawbs when father gave me a cassette in the mid 70's ("dont know what this is like but someone at work thought you might like it") then got to see of Cous' And Brian at Folk gigs in mid 80's and full band in 90's ❤😊

Memories of Newcastle City Hall on the 24th February 1972 during the power cuts. The concert was delayed and Dave and Jonathan Kelly (support act) entertained the waiting crowd on their guitars. The Man who called himself Jesus being prominent. Good luck Dave and thanks.

TOTP Oct 72 they had to mime to a backing track, as nearly everyone did. To this day I still think the two Daves plugged their guitars into each other to make it look authentic.
