I think the "kill 'em with a 4x4" is a triple. Wood, a car (in the UK that's what we call 4 wheel drive SUV type cars), and 4x4= 16 bars. All can be lethal!

"You can give me head like my name is Henry Tudor" is a line historians would love. Beheading people was a popular sport in Tudor times. Henry VIII, the second Tudor king of England, was famous for other people giving him their heads, as it were. The Tudor lineage came from Wales like Ren.

Ah man - just the other night my kids were having fun practicing breakdancing and asked “Why’s it called breakdancing?”. Now I know! My kids don’t… they still think it’s because it breaks old people’s wrists and ankles which is *ahem* the only reason I can’t do it… 😬

I think the love of music and sense of fun characteristic of the series is more evident in the layers of musical quotes used in producing the LM4 beat. The lyrics here are cheeky fun, but that edge of cynicism, shock value and braggadocio means they don't quite radiate the joyfulness of LM 1, 2, & 3 -- but it's there underneath the lyrics if you recognize half of what he's sampling/paying homage to. You guys did a great job at recognizing that, and explaining some of it to us! ❤

What I love about your reactions are that I always feel like come away learning a little bit more about hip hop culture. This was no exception. I also loved that you appreciated the bars for what they were….Ren having fun with the wordplay. A lot of reactors seemed to get hung up about the graphic nature of the lyrics but missed the beats Ren used and just the lyric gymnastics he was performing. LM3 is still my favourite of the series but LM4 is really fun to dance to. Congratulations on the 10k 🎉🎉

So good guys. 👏👏Ren's music is like a puzzle. Each reactor (that knows hip hop well and breaks down bars well) brings a few pieces to the picture. You guys brought a lot of pieces that have been missing so far. Ren always brings his illness (and often his friend Joe) into his music. He says Suicide flow. Feeling kinda sick in the coco, and I don't really feel right. (his mental and physical illness). Hit em with the 4x4. He felt like he was hit by a 4x4. The theme runs through the whole Sick Boi album. Lots of references to his other songs as usual.
@meggsy824 ай бұрын
What's interesting about the "Suicide flow" lyric is that it's actually a reference to the song Suicide. If you listen to the two back to back you can hear that the flow matches in both songs.

I've said this in other comments, but I love his cheeky, off colour way with words. He says he's insecure, but he really has no reason to. His older fans (I'm 70) have lived long enough to know what life's all about. Humour and sex together can't be beaten. Edit. Im happy to hear about the break culture. I detested disco, it was huge when i was in my 20's, so i was happy to miss the club culture when i married at 22, in '75. My husband was into the same music as i was, which is the music now being reacted to on KZbin. Maybe you could react to some 70s prog, for a complete change😂.

I thought it was DJ Kool Herc and not Grandmaster. 4x4 could also mean the time signature.
@StrawhatDynasty6 ай бұрын
You’re on the right track !! Dj cool Herc is known as the “ Grandfather” of Hip Hop. He came from the island of Jamaica and moved to the South Bronx where he started to throw the block parties where the culture would manifest from. As far as the actual music aspect, Herc was an electrician and found a way to wire the systems in which 2 records could play simultaneously, which would then be the pre- requisite for “grand master flash” to create the technique we spoke of where he is able to loop the same part of the record over and over again, this technique is also called “Juggling” which we forgot to mention in the video as another name !! 💪 thank you for watching our video !!

One detail that you and a lot of folks miss (and I didn't see in the comments) is that the "blow Chernobyl" bit is a meta reference to the song itself: In that the song is designed to set off REACTORS. Like you guys! You see, Love Music 4 was the first of the series written after Ren went viral in a wave of reaction videos, so this one is made Extra Spicy with all the inappropriate lyrics in order to give them all something to react to.

Hi! I recommened to you a hungarian artist Azahriah, he is 22 years old, sing and rap in english and hungarian as well. He’s very popular in Hungary and he had a european tour last year. If you love Ren you will be love him as well he is so talented and unique. You may start with “four moods”, also he did a cover of chalked outlines! 🫶
