I don't know that I need extended educational digressions on every little thing (i.e., pitch shifting) but I really love all the insights from the world of hip-hop -- you often recognize inspirations of Ren's, or lyrical references to the culture that I wouldn't otherwise catch! One thought -- could you elevate whatever screen you're watching the videos on, so that you don't have to hunch over it to see? We can't see as much of your reactive expressions when eyes and mouth are bent downward, (and sometimes you are low enough to be obscured behind the music video inset). I think it's a masterpiece & you will both get to know Ren a whole lot better. He paints a vivid picture of the pain he's had to endure over the last 13years of his life, letting us know how it's molded him & his music today. 2) The YT rap battle between King Dotta and Ren JFL🤣🤣 You see Dotta was clowning Ren's fans in the comments section and talking shit about Ren's work. Then Ren popped up in the comments and accepted Dotta's challenge to battle. A few ground rules were hashed out, like: Ren told Dotta no studio work it needs to be a ((live 1 take)) IMO Ren meant If you got bars then spit em without a producer cutting them together or a note book in front of your face. Dotta told Ren to leave his guitar outta this and keep it rap rap😂 Ren told Dotta he could go 1st, but he couldn't respond for a week or two because he was getting some new intense medical treatments in Canada & that would take the energy out of him, but he'd get to it as soon as possible. Dotta dropped the Ren diss called "Kingdom Come" Ren's response diss is titled "Dumb King Come" BTW Dotta dissed Knox Hill before he dissed Ren, but Knox wasn't going to respond & then he heard that Ren was playing along so Knox Dropped two response disses on Dotta before Ren dropped his own response. It was like Dotta taking fire from all sides, I kinda low key felt bad for the guy 🤣.

By the way, speaking of rap competition, Ren participated in a slightly confused battle rap/diss match last year. King Dotta felt Knox Hill had dissed him in his "Eminem "Killshot" Remix"; Knox said he hadn't. Dotta did a lot of shit-talking about Knox and other reactor/rappers in various comment sections, and Ren (who is friendly with Knox) saw an opportunity to play, and divert an ugly situation, so a comment exchange led to an agreement for a one-song-each battle rap between Ren and Dotta. Meanwhile, Dotta dropped "Crown", a diss aimed at Knox, while Dotta's pal MichelleShow egged everyone on from the sidelines. Knox did not reply at all, until Dotta dropped "Kingdom Come (@RenMakesMusic Diss)" a few weeks later, which included callouts to Knox and other rappers. The same day, Knox replied with "Stan Remix", and the next day with "Patiently Waiting Remix". A few days later, Ren issued his reply to Dotta, who then called their battle done. (Dotta did release three more tracks aimed at Knox the week after that). If you want to react to Ren's "Dumb King Come (King Dotta Diss)". please do react to Dotta's "Kingdom Come" as well!

I'm really glad you guys touched on rap battles, because Ren has attracted a lot of fans who've never really gotten into rap prior to finding him. This other rapper who goes by King Dotta started talking sh!t about Ren and his friend (another rapper/reactor) Knox Hill. It turned into rap battles and there were some fans who struggled to understand why Ren and Knox would "Waste their time" on Dotta. I tried, they just couldn't grasp that rap battles are an important part of hip hop because they push rappers to venture beyond their creative limits. The whole thing turned out beautifully, I think you guys would enjoy it and it'd be a perfect follow up to this whole conversation! Dotta (Kingdom Come) vs Ren (Dumb King Come) / Dotta (Crown) vs Knox (Stan remix & Patiently Waiting).

I think in this way he want's to commemorate him, as Joe is no longer with us.
