Negative Confirmation Bias is an actual thing, especially with how often the Pokemon RNG has just sacked him in key moments. You get used to never expecting to BE lucky if you want to GET lucky.

1:43:30 I resonate with this as well, having grown up some and gone through that journey of figuring out what I want, and I'm finding out that I actually find a lot of fulfillment seeing the people I care about succeed, especially if I contributed somehow, but also even if I didn't and if I myself don't succeed. I love when my friends win and being able to celebrate them. And frankly, I don't feel like winning if my friends don't. And I'm never jealous of their successes. It's just lifting each other up, and that's the most sure I've ever been about what I want in life.

For anyone interested it took 134 seconds for incineroar to appear in this stream about taking Raichu to a tournament

hey wolfe i started dabbling in pokemon showdown and building my own teams which i lost 100 percent of the time but as i watched how you built teams, learn the meta, make calls, and identify threats. and now i built a team that is meta aware and i won way more than i lost because im actually doing the winning things. it was so satisfying. thanks man for being a teacher.

The talk about jobs that starts around 1:30:00 is seriously cool to hear. I'm in college studying engineering and I'm in the latter position he discussed. It's really nice to hear him talk about the flexibility and the fact that pivoting is possible. I didn't expect to get some deep discussion or encouragement, but thank you Wolfe for such insight.

ive been running my own Zam team. but honestly the true heroes have been Thundurus Enamorus. it is such an insane duo tbh tbh. I was at 22-6 with my first Zam team now my new Zam team is around 20-3. Loving Zamazenta this series. It is so incredibly bulky. The Zam i run is water tera though and it works super good against Kyogre Koraidon Groundon etc. I am a big fan of water over grass tbh. especially cause my only real grass threat is typically Rilla but by that time rilla is set i have +3 def. Miraidon typically gets bodied by my Enamorus Thundy duo. I just have to position correctly

So someone convince me that the play of the 2nd game vs the Terapagos where the opponent brought it out and Wolfe needed to see what move it was gonna use that a dbl dbl protect wasn't the correct play? Then he could've Tera ghosted his Pelipper and wide guarded and body press/heavy slammed to victory

does anyone else look at Wolfe's story team and think about how much higher the powerlevel is in the meta now? like when scar/viol first came out iron hands was a menace and now it is on no teams. Im just thinking about how many pokemon would go unused entirely if they added all 1000 for a generation and maybe thats why they dont? genius marketing lowkey..

Can someone tell me how does he calculates damage so quickly?
@saltytilt4 ай бұрын
There are online Pokémon damage calculators such as the one provided by Pokémon showdown that account for a variety of battle conditions. They aren’t always going to be completely accurate though as you can’t be certain of opposing Pokémon EV trained stats and because of the high/low roll possibility of Pokémon moves. Anything outside of that is just quick guesses, simply being familiar with how much damage each move does against each Pokémon because he plays the game enough to memorise it. That’s what I think at least from my own experiences playing.

He's disincentivized to play any modded content if he wants to work directly with TPCi again in the future. Also, the game's creator is a transphobe and some have stopped playing because of that, so between those two factors I doubt he would want to even if he has the time.
@Robin93k4 ай бұрын
@@arininquotes8396 First that developer has resigned, and is no longer involved in the game. 2nd: Are you naive, stupid or a hypocrite? Because GameFreak is transphobe itself.... Gamefreak literally "Fixed" gender-confused Azurills in 2013 and marked all Trans (Azu)Marills as hacked, preventing them from being sent to future generations. Removing the only transvisibility across all Pokémon Games... (Technically the patch literally forces the gender on Marill, ignoring it's personality values... Like they couldn't have programmed transphobia more accurately if they wanted too) And this isn't Nintendo's Influence... Even Mario has encountered multiple trans people in his fictional life.
