Super Ghouls and Ghosts. My first ever video game and game console. My grandma bought it for me my 5th birthday. I remember countless hours of grinding to get to the end, and when you did you had to go through the whole game again and get a special weapon to defeat the final boss. Yes Capcom, we get it! Street Fighter II was the game that made the fighting genre within gaming take off and become its own thing. You made 20+ versions of the same already, and even recently with Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Ultra Street Fighter II for the Switch. I understand the franchise is big and you owe this lot of respect, but could you guys calm down with this game already? The best reason I can think of for the $100 price tag is that I'd assume it took a great deal of time and money to physically create these cartridges. I also have a feeling that with how old the hardware is, you'd be looking at having to get certain parts of the cartridge custom made. When making a reproduction or fan-made cartridge, it's common practice to cannibalize another existing game for the parts, which I have a feeling is something that Capcom wouldn't be able to do for legal reasons. I'm fairly sure it doesn't, but if Street Fighter 2 used any of the expansion chips in the cartridge, that would be costly to recreate. Expansion chips can be incredibly hard to come by and have been able to drive the price of certain games higher than normal.

when i was a kid, a copy of STREET FIGHTER 2 TURBO was $120 for me, simply because i live in a PAL region but had an NTSC snes and i had to import the games and pay premium to the shop that imported the games for me....sadly, at $100 for this, while i really don't mind the price, i won't bother much with it simply because i know this would be sold out by the time i make an account....also i still have shipping and taxes and customs....for that money i can buy like CUPHEAD , METROID SAMUS RETURN and maybe the new Y'S game......

I don't think anyone pointed this out but this is literally a tease for collectors because no matter how many a collector buys, they'll never know if they got the green cartridge or not until they open it. It'll sit on a shelf forever tormenting them because they don't know what they have inside the box. If they sell it on ebay it could be rarer cartridge inside it and they lose out on a ton of money but if they open it and it's the red one, they'd lose money because they opened it. It's a lose lose situation no matter what lol

But those people who would buy would enjoy a pretty impressive return on investment ratio, since they would be able to sell it any day for at least twice the price. And we can get more physical retro stuff released in the future, which is amazing. And we're going to see a lot videos about scalpers, which is great, since youtubers do need a topic to talk about. So aside from you really wanting this thing but being reluctant to spend the money, I can see no other downside to this.
