Note - Massive apologies, I made an error in this video by suggesting that the games included on this were arcade versions. This was the only reason I picked it up, I was fed bad information! I should've picked this up through playing them, so apologise for that. Despite this, it doesn't change the viewpoint of this video. This unit is nice but completely unplayable in this format.

This version of the MyArcade contains two 16 bit games (no arcade roms). A version previously released one year prior by MyArcade in the styling of SF2 Champion Edition did contain the arcade rom and the ability to link two units together for multiplayer however it also was not much better in controls.

This is a Genesis on a Chip system. The sound emulation is better than some other Genesis handheld/plug and play systems (Not naming any but you should know which ones I'm talking about).

Its definitely not the arcade version of the games. Looks like mega drive version to me

Few giveaway on the emulated system; Special Champion Edition was only ever available on Mega Drive/Genesis, the controls are labeled XYZ|ABC which is consistant with the MD 6-botton controller...and that sound! Jeez!

I remember getting this on Amazon for like £35, it was practically impossible to play on this nano machine, good for display purposes only 🤣😂 A better one I got was the My Arcade Street Fighter Ii CE Mirco Player, was 3.25inch screen and mechanical switches like in the arcades, it's like double the price but worth it and if u got 2 machines, u can link em up and play VS as comes with the link up cable too.

Yeah, people in the comments are right, these are the Genesis versions of the games. The My Arcade SFII Championship edition one for sure has the arcade version on it (this might have been where you heard it from Crazy), but the super street fighter 2 version that you bought has two Genesis versions on it. I have the SFII Championship edition version and was going to get this Super SFII one as well until I found out it was the home consoles versions on it, and then I backed out.

I was happy with NES Bubble Bobble, and only just about happy with NES Rolling Thunder which has nasty screen tearing, however these were the first ones from a few years ago... They should have improved a lot more by now especially if they are using MD. Thanks for sharing, just a shame it's not much better than the ones from a few years back.

This is one of the issues with many retro games on such devices, including evercade systems and carts. It’s not always clear or stated which ROM is being used. Sometimes they will state 8 or 16 bit console versions etc but still have to do a bit more research etc to find out exactly.
@CrazyBurger4 күн бұрын
Yeah my bad here, I assumed it was arcade based on the info I was fed. It doesn't say on the box which format the games are. Regardless, it's still not great. Unfun to play.
@Stephen-20974 күн бұрын
@ Still worth reviewing. In any case, sometimes the console versions can be better. Seen loads of these My Arcade systems about. It’s a pity these things are either really cheap, or super expensive and not much in between.

Bought this Street Fighter one (which is based two Mega Drive roms) from Amazon in the bigger version Micro Player Pro, along with the Atari one, the Mega Man one, the Pac--Man one and the Galaxian one also: the funniest thing is that thay called these things "Pro"! What that "Pro" stands for? "Problems" maybe...? I've sent all them back asking for a full refund: the plastics are incredibly cheap and the stick didn't work as it was expected to be. Then I've tried, just for the pure pleasure of pain, the Nano Player Mega Man plus a Miss Pac-Man version: they came with broken boxes due to Amazon but the product themselves were even less playable than the bigger ones. Sent them back, refunded again. The only ones I've kept have been the two Tetris, especially the 16-bit version (there's a also 8-bit version with 300 additional built-in crappy games) which features a really, really nice version of Tetris, slightly different from the classic version we all know plus a nice remix of the original Tetris theme. The only shame is that the screen is a 4:3 one but the playing area is very little compared to the rest of the screen. I've kept also a Mega Man Pocket Player (yes, I'm a fan of Mega Man even if I suck at playing those games :D), shaped like a Game Boy Advance, just for the pleasure of owning all six first Mega Man games into an official, finally more playable (the D-Pad is a little squashy but I've tried a lot more squashy D-Pads), portable format. The Pac-Man and Galaga "Pro" versions are not that bad, the Galaga version features also Galaxian and they seems to be all original "re-adapted" arcade roms, but those plastics were so awful that I send them also always asking for a refund!

My Arcade have some interesting devices about on Amazon and Game etc but I’ve just never been impressed with the quality of the devices. The handhelds screens usually have poor viewing angles and the mini arcade cabinets like this just feel so cheap. It’s a pity. If they had showed a bit more focus on getting the quality there they would be much better collectibles. At this size they are never going to be practical to play on past a few mins 😂 If it had a light up panel, better build quality etc then maybe this would be awesome as a little collectible for Street Fighter fans. It’s just a little bizarre that Capcom will put their name to devices like this but won’t release an evercade cart. Licensing deals just don’t make sense at times.
