You can't tech throws while your parry state is active. A proper sggk would use proper spacing to avoid getting thrown since you can't tech but the ability to throw the opponent. You can out range from Kara's chun close hp , having a better throw range urien vs ibuki also you can stand in a range where you only grab their crouching vulnerability box but not the standing one.

I've always heard SGGK meaning = Super Great Goal Keeper. Which is a reference to soccer goalies who have all the angles covered. Anyway, What program or whatever did you use to get all these inputs displayed? Is there a guide somewhere?

Jeez, I sure am late to the party haha. I just started playing this game and found this video to be incredibly useful for understanding the game. Thanks a bunch! I have a question about SGGK. I use Akuma, what normal move should I use? Also I am struggling to learn the timing for wakeup and that makes it hard for my friend and I to tell what options beat what because our timing is way off. Is there a way to practice this? I know the basics like block beats attack, grab beats block, and attack/jump beats grab.

6Mp Wakeup timing is different for every character. You'll have to figure it out in training mode or in matches.

for sggk, when you do a normal then throw it's still 1 frame despite the parry, or you do parry, normal, and LP+LK leisurely? i cannot get the 1 frame in keyboard at all

the normal and throw in SGGK is essentially a kara throw, so it should be parry, wait, normal + at least a frame later throw

Ah, my bad, I mixed the universal terminology with american. usually people use these names for the buttons - light punch, medium punch, hard punch, light kick, medium kick and hard kick. The american(capcom) way of calling them is (hands)jab,strong,fierce and (legs) short,forward, roundhouse. so cl.mp= close medium punch (or close strong) st.rh= standing hard kick (or standing roundhouse), mgb is machinegunblow and srk is shoryuken
