Street Fighter 6 Luke Combo video/Guide

I'm a tekken player and holy shit this game is so overwhelming. But thats what makes this game so unique. I'm just trying to see simple and optimal combos so i can focus more on my neutral game and getting out of pressure. The input for a single move is confusing, but it'll be simpler when it becomes muscle memory

Bro you got it. MK to Tekken to SF5. Long as you learn your fundamentals stuff. Combos come with time. And it’s alllll a rhythm just like any other combos in games. You’ll find it. Hype for you bro. Also just like Tekken, don’t be afraid to parry 👀

I’m in the same boat already nearly platinum, it’s way easier than tekken, like the guy above said it’s kinda about rhythm once you get that groove for move cancellations into dp/fireball it becomes easier. I started with fundamentals.. fireball to force them to jump then id anti air… also learning defence/ offence when someone’s getting up off the floor is super important… and cross ups.. I’m a Julia/king main on tekken

@@sketchy8395 I can't do the drive rush thingy. My combos are really just meterless. Which means more drive gauge for other things. I have to say hitting an anti air is so satisfying

Street Fighter 6 has one of the best tutorials of any fighting game and world tour also helps you deal with situations you will see playing against other people. Also modern control can help you get used to it until you are ready to try classic. Capcom really thought of almost everything to help get new players into Street Fighter.

This is the first sf game that I've actually put time into....been playing Luke since the demo, and slowly getting myself used to sf inputs after playing mk since mk1. Worked my way up to bronze 5 so far, going through the classic controls growing pains. Videos like this are why I never stuck with modern controls...I want ALL my options open, at all times.

@@1watchall it's tough, because you see people pulling off this insane stuff against you using modern controls.......but for some reason, maybe it's pride, I just refuse to use modern. Not a single win I got at the start when I was using them, felt earned. So I'll struggle, I'll miss inputs, I'll freeze up on execution in those clutch moments at times....but those are moments I'll accept, knowing that the wins I do have, came from the work I put in. I never feel bad losing to a classic player, i know they worked like crazy to be THAT good. Classic players keep me hungry, I wanna get to that level.

Honestly if you think you’ll do better with modern controls. Go for it! Luke is pretty good with them

@@SPONK223 don't think I haven't tried....lol. what tripped me up, is having to hold down that "auto" button to modify the normals. My brain just instantly defaults to wanting to throw the normals with a single button press.

I'm new to street fighter , trying to learn classic. This game hard asf😅 Update: I can do all these combos consistently, simply playing the game helps you get a feel for the buttons, buffers etc😀

keep at it! once the weird fighting game inputs are second nature it becomes a lot easier to focus on beating your opponent

imagine using notations like QCF or HCB, instead of using the very picture of a quarter circle forward or of a half circle backwards you used to explain what QCF and HCB means lmao

I used to struggle also but after getting the perfect knuckle you gotta do the light again fast and spam lv 2 super

It helps if you delay air knuckle after his jump MP, that way they get higher up in in the air which nets you a little more time to input super or take the plus frames and apply pressure again.

I can't link the super consistently in 1:55 combo. I tried every possible timing, but it just doesn't work. Delaying the cancels after jMP as much as possible or as early as possible, it just doesn't work.

idk if you're still having this issue, but Luke's combo trials have this exact combo pretty much, it may help to practice it there so you can track the inputs and see what may be causing your struggle!

@@DatAmethyst I'm still having trouble because I can't figure out if it's the height or if I need to jMP > qcbMP as early as possible or delay it as much as possible. I tried every timing multiple times and the super links 2 out of 10 times. The inputs are not the issue here, it's for sure other trick I just can't figure out by myself.

Perfect knuckle is sooo hard to time for me its whats stopping me from completing the combo trials

You have to pay attention to his glove when he brings it back. There will be a small flash of light. You have time it with that flash. The light punch is a little easier as it has 1 frame longer window. When you do his combos keep your eyes on his gloves. When you launch the character you want to then time your next inputs with the Apex of the launcher. At the very top press you next input. When you use medium punch launcher you need to press your next input as soon as he bounces off of the wall.

@@NastyKugogo No it isn't. They all require a specific 3 frame window (frames 18~20 for all versions).

Listen for the sound. Its a low dubstep like sound. Listen for that and look for the flash.

Really want to finish the World tour with Luke but you're forced to go Modern controls which sucks. Really don't like modern, but the game is just superb in itself. Love everything else about Sf6.
