Terry is the company mascot of SNK. He is chosen because no other character is better for representing the company. The Fatal Fury characters are the most popular characters in KOF. As for Bision....My sentiments exactly. If JP didn't do enough to earn his place as a villain, they could have just used Gill since Gill still hasn't gotten his chance to be a proper villain. He'd be a pain and a half to animate, but Gill needs his chance.

As he’s my favourite character in fighting games I have no problem with Terry’s inclusion in the series, plus it actually comes full circle as the guy that created Fatal Fury was the same guy who created the original Street Fighter, so it makes plenty of sense once you think about it .

I gotta say this: People are being hypocrites over Bison returning, saying it's Gameplay over Story, when these same people complained about Vanilla Street Fighter 5, being catered only to the FGC Online Community. 90% of SF Fans hated Vanilla SF5, now they're pulling Twitter Logic, and saying Gameplay over Story, after complaining SF5 lacked depth. Bison being back is turning Bison into a lame Looney Toons villain, and that's sad. They could have focused on JP, on G, on Necali, and other potential villains. Then again, why should I expect a company who lacked depth until the competition had depth, to understand the difference between good and bad writing. Hey, at least the EVO Boys and Girls are happy. 90s Fighting Game Fans, like me, seem to keep getting the middle finger.

In all honesty, M. Bison stopped being intimidating the moment Akuma showed up. After that, his every subsequent appearance felt more like "Oh, it's you again" rather than "Oh shit, he's back!" I hope that his return is non-canon, because if it' isn't, that would make SFV's story an even bigger waste of time than it already was. For all it's faults, "Tekken 8" at least hasn't resurrected Heihachi (yet), as that would pretty much nullify everything that happened in "Tekken 7". But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

My only complaint about that trailer though, it’s only 4 dlc characters and they should have added at least 3 more if they’re planning to add guest characters. I'm glad that Bison is back. It just goes to show that although Capcom has tried to replace him multiple times (Gill, Seth, JP), they can't surpass or even equal a villain like Bison. It's just like how they failed to replace Ryu (Alex and Luke). Because the game had a lack of villains initially, SF6 was basically SF the retirement years, with most of the characters slipping back into their basic daily jobs in a post Shadoloo world. Here's how they should do a new successful villain: 1) Capcom should have made a new character who was completely unrelated to any previous character, i.e., no Psycho Power user. 2) Then give him three evil henchmen/flunkies, just like the Shadoloo Kings. Reusing a popular pattern that helped get the original bosses over. 3) Make them all unplayable bosses. This gives these characters a mystique. 4) Have them do terrible things to a bunch of the main characters. 5) Have this new bad guy host a new World Fighting Tournament. The setting for the game would be this new tournament.

I’m glad bison came back. What people don’t process about fighting games is that lore doesn’t determine what characters get in the game. It’s about replay ability. Some characters should have their place in the roster in street fighter forever. Bison is one of them. If you don’t like certain characters getting put in the game, don’t play it.
