So in the previous game Bedman was a hyperintelligent guy in a permanent coma just due to how smart he is it would kill him. He's actually pseudoconsious and was outfitted with a mobile bedframe. He ends up dying in a way that even in Guilty Gear terms scream "yeah, this guy isnt coming back." Then in Strive it turns out his soul has possesed his bedframe to protect his sister

So Happy Chaos is the former teacher of Asuka Kreuts (The creator of the gears) and is the sole reason for the limitless supply of energy, or magic, that exists in the modern-day GG world. He discovered the backyard, a dimension that exists outside of the human realm full of information and magic, a place that would crush humans because of the sheer density of information in that plain. His appearance is the result of him staying too long in the backyard and losing hope in humanity, losing himself and his purpose in the first place throughout time, he knows everything, past, present, and future. Happy Chaos truly is a broken anomaly, figuratively and literally.

Magic in guilty gear is a complex form of energy manipulation where the mana reserves and imagination can denote how powerful they naturally are. Magic spells are closer executable files than traditional spells. Theres also shortcuts like Forbidden Beasts, Outrage, Backyard Convergence etc. How much power you want and what it becomes are entirely up to you minus your birth which can come with huge benefits like Night Kin.

Sadly the way Bridget was changed was lame to me, they should instead have made a new character or something. Like the boy who is forced to be a girl because of his superstitious parents attempting to prove to them they don't need to believe that way ends up doubting themselves and changing just how they wanted. To me it simply resembles grooming. Don't really care about Testament since he's always been kind of a neutral character regarding gender.

Secondly Bridget's story is atleast in my opinion a very interesting and beautiful trans story, its only weird if you assume that the reason shes a girl is because her parents had her "pretend to be one". But if you instead read the story on its own, well, perhaps it would be best communicated if i read the story the way i see it. Bridget was born a twin boy in a village where twin boys are put to death due to superstition. To protect them Bridget's parents raised them as a girl. Bridget was surprisingly ok with this but as they grew older they noticed that their parents felt guilt for forcing Bridget to live as a girl, and came to understand the brutality of their villages custom. So they set out to prove the story wrong. They revealed themself to the village as a boy and set out to be a bounty hunter to get huge swathes of money to bring prosperity to the village and prove them wrong, and bridget succeeded, and things got better, but Blas the days went by Bridget realized they werent happy. They liked being a girl, she was a girl, but she couldn't admit it to herself because if she was a girl, then she didnt prove the village wrong. And if she came out as a girl after all, what if the village goes back to its violent superstition again, what if all her work was for nothing. But eventually she couldn't hide it from herself any longer and she decided to live openly because the alternative would be living a lie.

So basically the reason there are so little Japanese characters in the game is because for somewhat good intentions, Asuka nuked Japan. However, since Japan is gone, any Japanese characters automatically get access to Ki, which basically puts you on par with gears for some reason.

To be fair... As much as it's a trope, it makes sense biologically due to the benefits. Reach maturity fast to be at peak physical strength, increasing chances of survival, like Dizzy does (Although I guess that's also peak magical strength). Or Reach maturity fast to increase the rate at which offspring is produced just like rabbits. The only difference is that gears get to just *stop* ageing after like 4 years of being alive, unlike rabbits who have a short lifespan due to their fast ageing.

so bascially, sin is half a gear, so he grew up to be physically an adult by the age of 3. his mother, Dizzy is the same as she's currently 10 years old but is basically an adult in terms of physical and mental age. by being a GEAR they also have near immortally as Sol has lived over 100 years with it being estimated him being 184 by strive.

I don't really fight in online private matches but I think there is a feature to invite people into a small room so they can interact or fight each other. And I would also recommend using discord or some place to post about the tournament (well if your actually going to host a tour. But all I am doing is giving you some ideas lol)

Johnny does have some gambling aspects to his playstyle. Sometimes going for the cards is risky and his dash is very high commitment because of how risky it is (you can't really block out of it), but all of it is more of a byproduct than intentional gambling.

Yeah, Happy Chaos is arguably the most powerful being in the entire Guilty Gear universe. He effectively lives in Minecraft Creative Mode; being able to summon whatever he wants to him, mind control anyone, regenerate his body (if he allows it to get damaged in the first place), isn't restricted by the normal flow of time (Axl and I-No can stop time, and Happy just moves anyway), can access alternate dimension, can freely create clones of himself, and can steal magic from other beings. The thing is, being an insane immortal, he is just looking for entertainment. He purposefully holds back to an astronomical extent and fights using weak slaps, kicks and guns because it would be more fun for him if he wasn't actually trying. He could probably just snap his fingers and the entire universe would cease to exist.

Better watch some lore videos to get it all Yeah, also Bridget is a boy who got raised as a girl because in his hometown they see siblings as bad omen. I’m not sure, but he kinda moved on in life as a girl? Better to read lore about that specificity since I’m may misinform about that

The DLC characters all have an additional trailer that explains their movesets and shows off their specials and supers in full, if you want you could react to those to see the full animations.

Character Guides were also released with all the DLC characters which might be also worth reacting too. I think there are some really cool aspect to some of these characters that isn't very obvious from the trailers, Goldlewis and Asuka for me. Enjoyed the video.

I have never enjoyed a fighting game as much as I've enjoyed Guilty Gear. I picked it up about a month ago and I've never gotten so invested in the characters, lore, gameplay, and music as I have with this series for a fighting game. I usually play mostly casually with just friends and such but Guilty Gear made me want to try my hand at online matches too. I ended up buying all the DLC for it a week after I bought it.

Sin is one of my favs ky fought against gears his whole life till he fell in love with dizzy they later eloped and had sin sin is a half gear so even though he is only about 5 that’s like being 18 as a human he’s kinda dumb and hella strong ky always was a baby face but he’s regressing in age due to gear cells he has his sons eye in his face giving him gear powers

Johny more like Yamazaki from Fatal Fury / King of Fighters or if you want more close resemlse to SF - Poison from SF5. Long reach normals, stance special with 3 angles long reach hit. He also not so mobile but he has tricks. In GG XX and GG Xrd he can toss coins that buff his special slash attack. In Strive coins was changed into cards. He throw card and you can slash it to make additional hit
