Just keep the joystick in the required direction for 2, 3 seconds. You don't have to hold it down, or press it.

It's slightly sped up and pitched by me. Being an altered version is why it may sound like a Megamen theme, lol, I felt the original was too slow in terms of pacing, oh well, I like trying stuff.
