Guys looking at that temple it looks so nice, and as you said, Franc , you can go deep into the grounds of the temple and you can meditate that must have felt very soothing. I have a friend who's visit around the second week of july and ive sent this vlogs link so she can prepare her self for the experience. That food looked very nice and the portions are good as well.👍👍🙏🙏🙏

Awesome, when we are back from our trip around Cambodia we will try to get out that way. Maybe get a scooter and spend a night or two up there if possible. Oh really? I can say I don’t blame you for that after what would have transpired. Happy to hear you’re enjoying seeing your birth country from the other side of the world. It’s a beautiful place and can’t wait to check out more of it 🙏😊❤️

I recommend 2 other temples, Banteay Srei, small temple but very beautiful and Boeung Mealea. Both are outside S,R approximately an hour drive and very worth it.

Look for silver pots in front of the restaurant with many Khmer customers… tend to be delicious and not expensive…

Have tried a couple and you are 100% right. Some of the best food for the cheapest prices coming out of those pots!

I’m not sure how you guys can stand the humidity. Back in 1997 I was in Thailand with my ex and his family it was so humid and hot I thought I was going to pass out. The funny thing is I can’t remember being hot at all when we were living there, but I can remember the cold 😂

It's tough, and tougher at the moment with a bit of a heatwave going on, but we're managing. Thank the lord for A/C!

Wow loved that temple and gardens - looks so peaceful and definately places like that help to clear the mind if you immerse yourself. The food looked delicious and I see you are both proficient at using "western chopsticks" 555

Amazing open and free grounds to just get out of the rush of the city. Haha, we are both big goobers with chopsticks! Western it is!

Great stuff guys, brings back memories of my 3 years there, there used to be some really good khmer restaurants down sok san Road, I found it a lot easier to learn khmer, than thai.
@franclyspeaking4 ай бұрын
Beautiful part of the world! Sok san has some good deals. Like a $2 chicken burger and some other good food. Restaurants around us are pretty great too, and close. It does seem to be that we are picking up Khmer a little easier than Thai too!

Really appreciate you guys for coming to visit Siem Reap. The people living in this city heavily rely on tourism to make a living. But for the past fews years things have been super difficult. Hope you continue enjoying Siem Reap. This city still have many things to imprpve on. Feedbacks are needed, so don't be shy sharing them.

We understand, I was just talking to a man in puok telling me how hard it’s been and how they haven’t quite yet bounced back from the pandemic.. it’s a beautiful part of the world and we can’t wait to explore more of the country! Appreciate that, we always try to keep it ‘real’ and honest. Thank you for the comment and the kind words, have a great day 🙏

Home sweet home! Feeling very at home at your USD 5 a night hostel in Siem Reap I presume. Still feeling sore with Malaysia? I will inform the Malaysian Tourism Ministry to give both of you a red carpet welcome the next time your visit Kuala Lumpur! Last but not least, do write a book with the title " Travel Poor and Get Treated Royalties". A sure NYT bestseller and with the royalty perhaps you could upgrade yourselves a little bit😊. Have a wonderful stay in Siem Reap you two.
