I m sure that Marc had been paid by a PR firm for reputation laundering. If not, why his first scene is under the propadanda photo of Bashar al-Assad? He clearly could avoid this "plan", but his intention to put the dictator ahead is clear. Oh, man! I can barely imagine what these people might have gone through during a decade or so of war and subsequent devastating earthquake...it is beyond comprehension. I see how these people are eager to communicate with the outside world. It was a severe crime to tear down that castle citadel and 800 years old zuk(bazar). I was thinking how many people have been died on those streets😢 It takes a fraction of a second to tear down an entire town, while it won't be enough even a lifetime to rebuild😢 I could sense his stupor, oh, man, Syria has been at a crossroads for over 5,000 years. One of the crossroads of the world's first civilization. These people deserve all my admiration, empathy and sincere encouragement.

@@tinabioWhy are you racist ?? Is it fun for you?
@tinabio5 ай бұрын
@@Amir-gu4gz I am not racist. 15 million people came here because there was a war, but now there is no war in Syria, so why aren't they going back to their countries? They have been in our country for years, and our economy can no longer bear it, and their numbers keep increasing. In some cities, we have become a minority.
@Amir-gu4gz5 ай бұрын
@@tinabioBut its as simple as you think, Assad government did not fall down and its the biggest reason why syrians are not going back, every syrian that fled to turkey is marked by Assad government as soon as they put step there they will get arrested to nowhere and I'm not joking to you about that, Assad normally has lost the war if Russia didn't help him and every Syrian would have went back Voluntarily. The economy there is fucked up, Syrian pound used to be 60 SYP for 1 USD and now its 15000 SYP for 1 USD. The maximum salary is around 100-150 dollars per month!! Of course there is many reasons, me as Syrian living in Germany, I would agree to you there is alot of bad Syrians who did not respect your country as gusts but not all of us like this, many want to work and build their own businesses. The Turkish economic is down not only because of the Syrians but the whole conflicts that happning around the world, the wars. The only thing I want you to understand that not everyone is the same and if Assad wasn't rule the country, 95% of Syrians would definitely go back, but if you know you are going to die, you won't kill yourself, will you?

Like people make the most of life and do their best to restore normalcy. Very touching to watch. Very resilient people. Mark, you keep being awesome and yourself. You are such a thoughtful food enthusiast, who actually does your homework on the people, places and cultures you encounter on your tours. That is important and impressive. You are always excited and polite about the many foods you try. I have been watching for a long time. Drop me a "hey," and make my day. Shalawam.
