I always have to stop by Bear’s Sugar Shack when I’m in Shinjuku! I love that they make it from scratch, their shop is adorable, and the pairing of real Canadian maple syrup and their buttery mini pancakes is just fantastic. Also I just tried the salty cheese oolong tea from HeyTea in Singapore, and I was actually blown away! HeyTea is apparently the original creator of Cheese Tea, they started in China in Guangdong, and Singapore is its first overseas outlet, and according to people who’ve tried HeyTea vs other brands, HeyTea uses real cream cheese and milk to create the foam, while other brands often use milk/cheese powder! So I can’t say how good it compares since it’s the only place I’ve tried that specialises in cheese tea, but if you’re ever in Singapore (or if anyone reading this is) definitely try it out! :) Their only shop is in the basement floor of Ion mall in Orchard Road, so pretty easy to find! They specialise in premium teas in general, and everything is made fresh. Their berry and strawberry blended cheese teas looked super popular, and next on my “to drink” list! Also I’m craving takoyaki so much right now! :(

Oh my gosh brothers! The salted cheese oolong tea looked so delicious, as did both breads. My okasama loved Kintoki mame coated with sugar. She used to snack on it all the time. I miss sharing mame with my mama. ☺️ Okay boys, the takoyaki with the dipping sauce.....I would be that person taking a bite of takoyaki, then sipping-yes I said “sipping” the sauce. 😋. Thank you for sharing Shinjuku and all 6 of your amazing favorite snacks with us! Seriously, every single thing you ate looked so delicious!! It’s because of you boys, that I’m so excited to visit Japan again, one day soon..... ♥️ So cannot wait for future videos!!

Okay fellas, another great food video. Shinjuku really does have some great places to eat a snack or a meal. The hashed potato croissant looked sooooo good. I would love to try that one. Hot cakes with custard cream and apple compote sounds heavenly. Well I love anko and strawberries are my favorite fruit so that particular dongo sounds slammin', but the shichimi one sounded super good also. Which one should I choose? As for the squid balls, AKA takoyaki, you can have mine. Well maybe I would try it. Gotta have an opened mind, right? Except where Natto is concerned.🤣 Thanks for sharing, brothers.

The snacks look delicious. I would definitely enjoy watching more of these types of videos in future. One thing I've always admired about the Japanese work ethic is the level of attention to detail. Would it be possible to see videos on local food producers or artisans of their crafts? I like to know where food comes from and maybe it could be interesting to others to learn about the people behind the food carts, cafes and restaurants who serve such wonderful food. Or maybe that's just me. Anyway, thank you for the video!

Strawberries are a winter fruit?! I never knew that!!!
@adbreon5 жыл бұрын
In Japan strawberries are almost always grown in hothouses, they try to have them ripen at Christmas time and just afterward- through about February. Not a lot of fruits grow well in those conditions so they are a popular crop to make money in the off season for farming.
@geno53605 жыл бұрын
Wow that's so interesting! Assuming conditions are always gonna be consistent not scatter it and have some plants available at one point in the year and other plants available at different points in the year?
