One thing I picked up fro Reid was to run bushing/busing or roller/roller and not mix from a concern of the oil following least resistance and passing through the roller side and leaving the bushing dry. Not sure if there is any merit to that but worth a comment. Keep up the great content!

Just came across your channel now. I'm going to steal your method to mount the ultrabell. Those o-rings are a pain. Thanks for including part nbrs and source.

Is good idea to keep ears on bellhousing, can run a tap through them then use as mounting point for blanket.

Hi Shawn, im building a Powerglide atm for a 400hp street car and your videos are invaluabe, thx. One thing, am i able to convert the standard valve body to full manual and do away with the governer? perhaps you could do small vid on what to do ?

I've been listening to a lot of people talk about powerglide and issues with thrust bearings. As I understand it, there's an issue when running powerglide and when it goes into second gear it causes a lot of thrust through the motor. Did you do a video on this? Just curious about the topic

I realize this video is about 4 months old but a full cost video wouldve been cool

Did you install servo tube? It was missing when you installed the pan.

Good eye, I mentioned I had forgot it probably in the next video!
@funfun80953 жыл бұрын
You need to get it in the car and the car running, asap, before you sell this "Your" transmission! LOL Will be cool to see you getting these builds running, tuning, and driving, too.

For sure! I got smart and build myself two of everything just in case!

Do you prefer to use Vaseline rather than the assembly goo?
@mountainsgarage3 жыл бұрын
I use both, depends on the mood and the shop temp. Vaseline is much cheaper and wipes off easier.

Shawn, when using the deep pan with the filter extension perhaps it's not necessary to fill to the 3/4 inch above pan rail level?
@mountainsgarage3 жыл бұрын
That would defeat the reason for having a deep pan, that would just be lowering the level away from the transmission. The correct full mark stays the same. Good thought process, I like idea exchange!
