I just took all of my garden out. Pretty sore. I shouldn't have did it without help from the hubby! If you plan on a garden next year, maybe we can swap ideas. I pulled tomatoe vines and trunks out , and those roots were over 3 foot long. Brother Paul, I've got health insurance now. Soon I will be having my hip replacement. The last 2 surgeries that I had , they said that I died. I'm not afraid to go home. The surgery won't be until the end of October, or so. I'll sure be looking forward to seeing your video's during my recovery. Hey say a prayer for Nacho stuff/Mat. The hurricane is going to come close to him. But for all our brothers and sisters down there!!!

I also started working at about 10 years old, and I didn't let being a girl stop me. I mowed and raked yards and whatever I could find to do. Adding babysitting in and my summers were busy. I bought some of my own clothes and school supplies.

Paul Paul Paul !!! I really appreciate your sense of humor ! We as a family would all catch the giggles at some point . I would catch them so bad I'd end up crying. Because I couldn't stop it. There was 6 of us kids so it just took one of us to start off then it would be over. We would get in so much trouble at church because sometimes it was just a look or a face change of looks . Like something hit our ear just wrong then the other just knew. Then it was over we would be in trouble. Anyhow thank you so much for taking us along. I enjoy all the time spent with you !!! Glad to hear you teaching the about the value of money. I started earning my spending money by raising my own garden at 8 years old. Two years later I added lawn work to the mix and soon was going 5-6 days a week. Word of mouth soon had me getting calls for special projects for people and doing yards up to 5 acres at s time with nothing but a push mower. I find now at 67 I really cherish those memories.

Another great video, entertaining and thought provoking. THANK YOU for playing Natalie’s song. I never tire of listening to her beautiful voice. Paul, I guess you know that teenagers do know everything and you are dumb. That’s their thinking process. They do start believing much later that you are not as dumb as they thought. Some teenagers earlier than others. And as a Mother of 3 daughters, they are the worst. At 12 to 13 they turn from sugar to s..t. But, do come around eventually. You wake up one morning and wonder where your sweet little girl went. All of a sudden they are teenagers. I raised three And it was not the easiest time of my life. But eventually like I said they do come back. I had a friend once who had four children, two boys and two girls. When the girls and boys started turning to that horrible teenage age she called me and asked me how I raised three without going to jail. I told her with a lot of prayer! So good luck Paul. Take care, stay safe

I hate the clove hitch. In Scouts we're taught it's the first and last knot used when lashing. We could never get a clove hitch to hold. I later learned the timber hitch. Much better starter for lashing. I found a couple of half hitches worked way better to end a lashing.
