When James asks Jack Whitehall about a recent trip to Amsterdam and if he partook in the local customs, Jack admits to enjoying a spliff on the street, only to be busted by a Google Street View car as soon as he lit up.

comedians often make up or modify stories for the sake of comedy. i don't mind that. it's when they take it to a show like this and explicitely sell it as real that it annoys me. i first saw this story in his netflix special, where it was equally recognizable as fake, but that's okay because that's how stand up works. who cares if it's true if it gets a laugh. but please don't re-tell it on james corden and pretend it actually really happened. i don't even know why this annoys me so much, but seeing news sites going off this video and now reporting this story as real news is just stupidly infuriating.

weed is NOT legal in the Netherlands! Right now its illegality is just not enforced (when possessed/present in small amounts). When you cause problems when carrying or using it, you can definitely get into a lot of trouble.

Sadly I doubt it very much that that picture was taken in Amsterdam because 1) we don't have double yellow lines on the sides of the road in the Netherlands and 2) it doesn't look anything like 'museumplein' (or Amsterdam) as it says in the top left of the picture

You can see the streetsign at 1.10min and it says Museumplein. I whas also doubting it, I am dutch and I dont recognize Amsterdam in the photo but when there are D- tours because they are working on the streets, they do put in temporary yellow lines. I find it so funny that Jack Whitehall always seems to get himself into these kind of situations :-) I never see the google car driving here sinds 6 years ago

hanema27 That isnt a streetsign, it is a google maps text that could possibly be edited. And yeah they do put yellow lines on roads when there is roadwork, but not double lines like that. I googled it and its British and means that you cant park there. I do think that its a real story, but like Juan said, it probably happened in a country where smoking weed is illegal so they covered it up by saying it was in Amsterdam.

I didn't even watch the video. But to me this Jack Whitehall or wahtever is the most unfunny comedian that I have seen. Graham Norton is one of my favorite shows and unfortunately he always invites him to his show. I do not know if he is "popular" because he is good looking (not to me) for comedians but he is just not funny.
