This variant specifically, the 8HP70 transmission, allows you to choose between automatic and manual operation with a sequential shifter! Yes, that means 8 speed automatic on the way to dinner and sequential flat shift on the way home!

I guess having so many gears let's you have the engine always in powerband, way less lag and a 8th for cruising :)

8HP go all the way up to a 95 with factory rated 1000nm of torque handling but the 70's can handle the 1000nm easy so assume the 90s and 95s can handle over 1600nm of torque, especially if you upgrade the billet E hub and clutches to Raybestos and Kolene Steels! ZERO TO 60 to learn more too!

hot tip maxxecu will control everything if you end up doing more 8hp swaps, you can even use the maxx mini like a lamik or cantcu 😉
