The video just centred on Kilimani. It is not even the CBD, Upper Hill or Westlands. This just shows you how Nairobi has grown in importance to be compared to a megalopolis like Lagos. But I doubt Lagos has the greenery of Nairobi. If Sakaja can only take care of the sidewalks, it will improve the area even more.

Nairobi, with its massive tourist attractions and expatriate population, is more advanced, beautiful, green, and planned than Lagos. I am a Nigerian, but I must be candid and honest. Abuja holds more beauty and magnificience than Nairobi when more highrise buildings start springing up there. Hopefully, Lagos has the potential to match Nairobi if it strategically start to get rid of some shanties and slums located in the middle of the city's lagoon (like Makoko), in the heart of Lagos Island (like Balogun market and its appendages), and in some parts of the city (like Ajegunle and Orile) to make way for a breathtaking and aesthetic city scenery as obtains in some advanced African and Asian countries. I understand the complaints about the huge population of Lagos, but Jarkata, Mumbai, Delhi, and few others are equally densely populated but appear well-structured and better planned. There must be demolitions in the heart of Lagos to help us fashion a picturesque and beautiful city to be proud of eventually.

Yeah, it is understandable because our economy has taken a downward plunge under the woeful Tinubu administration. We have lost many millionaires with the devaluation of the Naira and gradual obliteration of the middle class. We had more millionaires in Lagos than Nairobi until much recently. We will bounce back with good and purposeful leadership. Tinubu has pauperized Nigerians. It is such a SHAME for a once revered and buoyant country with highly industrious citizens. Even our richest man, Aliko Dangote, took a massive hit from the economic depression. Too bad, what a single clueless and visionless leader can do to a people.

Nice one mate as always. Not just because l'm Nigerian but l give lagos the edge.Lagos development feel more bold, elegant, purposeful, open and spacious somehow.😅Nairobi keep leaving me with that feeling of a congested, narrow city.like l need room to spread out, this is not enough.😅I think some of the roads in Nairobi should have been dualised before building that much high rise apartments. The other things is,most nigerian dont see apartment as forever homes, people own and build houses, duplexes and bungalows instead of apartments. Nigerians would rather own a bungalow than apartments.I think it has to do with personal space more than anything..Maybe,that's why Nairobi look congested to me.The most important thing though, either lagos,Nairobi or kampala Africa is progressing and we must all celebrate that..Thank you,we appreciate your work. ❤Cheers!

Great content! While Nairobi and Lagos are both vibrant African cities, it's important to recognize their unique characteristics that set them apart. Nairobi is often celebrated for its stunning blend of urban and natural beauty, with attractions like the Nairobi National Park, where you can see wildlife right on the city’s doorstep. The city's infrastructure, though still developing, has made significant strides, especially with its public transport systems like the Nairobi Expressway and the recently launched commuter rail services. In contrast, Lagos, while bustling and rich in culture, faces challenges like traffic congestion and a more chaotic urban environment. Nairobi offers a different pace of life, with a growing tech scene that has earned it the nickname "Silicon Savannah," attracting innovation and investment from around the world. Moreover, Nairobi is known for its diverse culinary scene, influenced by various cultures, including Swahili, Indian, and British. The city's hospitality is also remarkable, with friendly locals who embody the spirit of "Harambee" (pulling together). While both cities offer incredible experiences, comparing them overlooks the distinct flavors and vibes each has to offer. Nairobi has its own unique charm and character that truly sets it apart as a premier destination in Africa!

He basically said Nairobi was better. Plus in Lagos there's almost no greenery anywhere and the roads even in good places are dirt roads. He made the comparison again a few years later and he tried to give Lagos some points but anyone could see Nairobi was better in almost everything than Lagos. Lagos is only bigger than Nairobi and nothing else for the simple a reason of its population. Lagos should first fix its electricity before you start comparing yourselves with other cities than have constant, reliable power.

There are multimillion-dollar projects underway in Lagos, including city projects (Eko Atlantic City), road infrastructure (700km Lagos-Calabar coastal highway), transportation infrastructure (seven intra-city railways, two of which have been completed and commissioned), and the industrial sector ($20 billion Dangote refinery). After considering all of these developments, your assertion should be why should Lagos be compared to Nairobi. Nairobi should be compared to its neighbors, such as Dar es Salaam and Addis Abeba, who are on track to become East Africa's superpower.
