Ryan, this last Heritage Auction, the Amazing Spiderman # 667, Dell'Otto Variant 9.6 just sold for $12k ($14.4k with buyer's premium). The Malibu Sun #13 Spawn comic with the error variant ( signed by McFarlane, 9.2) went for $5.5k. Do you think they were good buys and will they hold their value, you think? Love your channel and appreciate your insights!

I agree, uncommon Golden Age books should be spaced apart in Heritage auctions by at least 6 months. There just aren’t that many people who are looking for these rare finds who have the capital to bid aggressively and so the second book coming to auction winds up relatively underperforming. I guess there is nothing to be done about that if the seller is intent on selling but most who collect high end books aren’t usually under pressure to sell.

My guess is the detached cover and tape on the Suspense #3 may have contributed to the lower sale price.

Hey Ryan, what’s happening I just love your videos. I told you they are totally awesome.. I told you honest to God a year ago at the New York comic con I was offered $100,000 cash from someone for my amazing fantasy 15 6.0 it’s the wallpaper to my iPhone. I know why I was offered that I showed it to Heritage because it was graded 20 years ago. Absolutely no marvel chipping presents much better than the grade.. the point is, I’m not selling it. Anyway, I hope all is well.. you do know I only paid $4000 about 15 years ago for the book

I picked up the 1.5 Batman..you were exactly right that 2nd 1.0 was on my radar at the same time especially as it was not as bid up as the 1.5 in the pre auction bidding.

the books are of better calibur and the auction had several big ticket items to attract buyers to the auction so I am not surprised in auction results.

Second half of 2025 will see even stronger sales with Superman and FF providing much-needed excitement of new/rebooted properties and paving the way for the new DCU and Avengers/Doomsday and eventually X-Men.
