Exactly! This is why i ended up building my own gym downstairs. It took a few years for me to accumulate all the necessary equipment and plates, but it was very much worth it. No waiting, nobody staring, nobody bothering, no monthly fees, i can make noise, hell i can lift naked if i wanted to lol. I hate current gyms and mostly the fools that i encounter inside them!

Downsides are ur shoes get wet do make sure they are thin material or water proof so the soles only have to be dried. I’m 39 years old now, back around the year 2000 I started hitting the legit gym scene in Austin TX. Big weights, golds gym dungeon, steroids...there was mutual camaraderie all around, showing off was done but it was done humbly if that makes sense, we had group meals at restaurants around the gym, shared post-workout ice cream, sometimes 5 or 6 of us (ages 18-45) would be bound together by bodybuilding/weightlifting. All shapes and all sizes and all races and all ages...but when we walked into a room everybody knew we were bodybuilding meatheads. Today these social media pansy-asses have kept me away from the atmosphere. I prefer calm exclusive gyms cause I can’t stand any of these guys anymore. Oh and I’ll add that the quality, aesthetics and mass of physiques and weights being thrown around back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s seemed to be a lot better. I may be remembering things twisted but that’s just my recollection. Not to take away from the kids today.

It’s a legit business and he went from a negative to a positive who knows or cares how he got the start up money. Lots of people don’t live up to their potential and rot away in prison. I was in foster care and been to jail. Now I work as a foster parent with kids with autism. I was in 60 foster homes in 9 years.
