i am would just build a chromoly front subframe that bolts to a tube frame footbox X bars, and rear coil over suspension on a bolt on rear subframe , all low porfile chromoly tube with X bracing, and there would not be a need to delete rear seats. 2 bolt on subframes front and rear to a shear off bolt on middle frame. this way you have detachable front and rear subframes on vehicle that if in accident doesn't bend the entire thing up like a full frame car, instead it behaves as a subframe car in an accident because it IS subframe car still, and while driving behaves more as a full frame car does ! hahahah.

We now know how GM built Camaros at Fremont Assembly. Toyota used full frames under Tacomas. Does Tesla use subframes now that Fremont is a Tesla plant?

if you're going with thicker than needed mild steel DOM, I'm surprised you're then TIGing it rather than wire feed. It will be nicer for sure, though.

a small block tall deck large bore block from dart, 9.5" deck or custom 10" deck would be nice. With a 4.195" bore. and make the cubic inch about 415 or 420 that way you have rod length and some piston height without too much stroke. Yet any head you put on there shall have more port efficiency and energy because the cylinder itself is unshrouding the valves a ton.
