I just cut the metal for mine last night! Great minds... In the shop we make bed-bolts with studs to hold rails in the bed to secure weight boxes while we're testing. One of the other machinists and I had just finished welding a batch and a mechanic came up and grabbed a pair bare-handed... When he dropped them I said it must not take long to look at bed bolts. Grandpa sayings.

Thank you for taking the time to video all of your work. You do amazing work and have given me the information I need to start my own. My 71 should be here tomorrow for me to start on. Thanks.

Love the comment, I may not be a country boy (welder) but I’m familiar with the comment. I really like watching your videos. I have a 1966 Ford bronco. I’m learning a lot. Thanks

Don't know if others have this problem but my "71" had hood cracks develop just behind the curve at the front of the hood, at the stops. You might consider a backer there also? Very nice work!

Thanks! Yes I have seen it there too. I will have to look into the cause. Possibly stress from the hood bumper.

I literally had the same exact idea for my hood. I just didn’t know how I was going to cut the pieces so they would fit. Thank you so much!! 🙏🏼
