Hhhh poor little Briar reminds me of my pup, Survivor. He was named Tracker initially, but he got sick and got down to 11% health before he finally recovered and got better.

I am almost to 15lbs for my pups. I got booted from my den by flooding and immediately got jumped by 2 stranger wolves looking to end my pups. You talk about high stress. there was nowhere for the pups to hide and I have 5 of them. I havent lost one yet. *knocks heavily on wood*

I’m naming 3 of my pups Feather, Briar, and Tempest My pack is the Starrunner Pack and the mother is Gazer. The name has a special meaning. So does the pack, her father is Scorpio. Her mother is Dipper. :)

Briar laid in the tall grass, coughing. She had gotten very sick over the past few days. Feather's death had stunned her, and left a sort of emptiness in Briar's heart. Briar didn't feel pain anymore. She didn't feel loss. She didn't take notice of her surroundings anymore. She was being treated like Feather, though Briar didn't mind. Briar didn't eat, her appetite was gone. Briar only thought about Feather and death. To very good things. Death would take away all the bad things, and take Briar to Feather. Being alive was meaningless now, without Feather. Briar shrugged off her thoughts, figuring death would come soon, no need to wish for it. Briar let out a fit of coughing. She looked outside of the grass only to see pain, pain in what she could not do anymore- play. All the other pups played. Not Briar. She didn't need to play. She just wanted death to come. Briar noticed Tempest playing with the others, and realized he must be recovering. Briar continued to watch, emotionless. Suddenly, Aden and Raven walked toward the pups. They carried a moose calf in their jaws, but Briar could care less. They dropped it on the ground, a signal for the pups to eat, and in seconds all Briar's siblings were tearing at it. Raven gently nosed her way into the tall grass Briar was in. "Are you hungry?" She asked, voice full of pity. "No", Briar replied, kicking Raven away. She watched the light drain from Raven's eyes. "Please eat", Raven said. She seemed as if she was about to wail. "I don't want what happened to Feather to happen to you. I want you to have a chance. A fighting chance." Briar looked at her mom, thinking. Then, just as Raven seemed to be going out of the grass, Briar spoke. "Wait." Tears began to build up on Briar's face. "I feel like it's my fault Feather died. She deserved life more than me. She should've stayed alive. She needed it so much more than me..." Raven turned sharply to Briar. "You deserve to live. You couldn't have done anything to help Feather. I know you would if you could. Look, I know Feather would want you to move on instead of sitting here suffering what she felt. You can start by eating. Please, you have to try to get through this!" Raven finished. Briar started to realize it now. Feather would want her to live. Briar stood up and wobbled out of the grass. She watched as her siblings stared at her, shocked at the fact Briar was walking. Briar ignored them, focusing on the moose calf meat. I must give myself a chance, Briar thought. A fighting one. Part two for the last one! Also, I know Briar is really a boy, but I like to think of her as a girl. Stay safe people:)

Elk calves are still a viable option! Both elk and mule deer fawns have begun to travel with their mothers, like moose calves. But the good news is they can still be carried and are easily killed, you just have to keep an eye on mom. Personally I think mule deer are easier since mothers can have multiple calves (so you can eat one and bring another to the pups) and tend to run rather than fight.

Wow you posted pretty late for me lol. Feel so bad for Briar and Tempest. I still can't believe Feather died, still recovering from that and the shock. Gonna have to watch this tomorrow cause I'm too tired. Can't wait to check out the video!!! ❤ Edit: Also as wenny moon said, "select Briar (put red arrow on him) and play with only him, feed him often, and interact with him more." on my first time getting pups in WQ-AE, i got 7. it was pretty easy to take care of them all, but then the fleas were a problem so i decided to move dens to the nearest one. but as i was crossing a river, some coyotes were going to appear and i attempted to get all of my pups into some tall grass but then the biggest pup i had, flick, died. i was hoping none of my other pups die, so i managed to get to the new den successfully. but as soon as i was going to start journeying to the rendezvous site, ANOTHER coyote attack occurred, and ant was killed. we managed to get to the site with no more dying pups, and 5 out of the 7 survived.

I think that even if no predators attacked you may want to move your pups after some time. Maybe if you leave them in one spot for too long then predators might come more often(I'm really not sure?)

Lot of bad luck for the Wayfinders I hope Brair and Tempest survive! In Yellowstone, sometimes things like distemper, mange, and parvovirus(parvo) can kill whole litters. Maybe that is what happened from a story perspective.

When towerfall comes you’re territory should be the main map (Lamar canyon stuff territory’s like that) territory So other players that are lucky will see you’re territory. And you can kill you’re pups.

Really late to this but isn't it weird that In the game when your finding a mate and stuffs it says that "Two black coat wolves will have smaller litters but healthier pups while two grays or one gray and one black will have bigger litters but sicklier pups " but meanwhile in there vidoes they say that a gray and a black wolf have bigger healthier litters while two grays and two blacks have unhealthy litters. Isn't that weird? Cause my whole life I always thought that two black coats had the best potential, especially since whenever I had two blacks as wolf parents there pups never got sick and recovered faster, so thats what I always believed until someone said that they said stuffs about the genetics in the vidoes. Now I don't know what to believe :,)
