Interesting I have an A3 also, I have run Federal HST +p Speer Gold Dot 124 +p Federal 9bple 115, and even Underwood 90 grain Phillips head along with about 500 rounds of S& ball, so far I've had zero malfunctions. I have to admit I was a little fearful as I purchase as a spur-of-the-moment without researching but so far I have been pleasantly surprised mine is a high number newer production gun though

My A3 runs like a champ. It runs anything. Using the same mags.

I dodged a bullet. Was waiting on background check for the A1. Got some mags in the mail. Loaded the mags up and started ejecting rounds with my thumb. Rounds started to tumble inside the mag, some doing complete 180s. I immediately ran to the lgs that was running my background check....cancelled the transaction....bought a Christensen arms CA9MM. Price be damned.

So I know this is a year old but I don't have the steel lined lips on my A1 gen 2 and my followers on all three mags did the same thing. WIth no round and with A round in the mag. I took the mag apart and just casually turned the spring to the other side ( clock wise/ anti clock wise) installed the springs and followers back in and bam.. the followers don't tilt anymore.. Also the rounds pop in so much smoother with a positive click. Took it to the range shot with all three mags 30 rounds each 20 rounds each and 10 rounds each. They run with no problems unlike the first time I took it out, I had a few malfunctions. Idk but I feel like anyone with the straight mags should give it a shot. I know the curve mags are out now, and I'm gonna place an order of three. Personally I like the look of the straight mags so if this is a fix for me I'm happy as all hell.

I definitely agree. The straight mags are aesthetically pleasing and reminds me of the ump. Unfortunately the tapered dimensions of 9x19 are not suited unless stacked forward like a Glock mag. The curved mags are fantastic and certainly strong but even still, metal feed lips are always preferable. I’m guessing that’s something that’s in the works atm

You should consider the 2 companies that are making scorpion lowers that accept all AR parts on the lower and accepts scorpion mags. The one company makes a hi strength polymer lower and lingle makes a aluminum & polymer variants. They seem to be a necessity.

my a3 with the black follower mags shoots 147 grain hp with no issues.

Do you know if yours has the updated bolt and locking block? Did you Efile your Form1? 18 days is rather quick

No. Had to send mine in for the upgraded bolt. They said to do it even if it’s running well because it could cause premature wear. And yes. 18 days for efile form 1. They are moving extremely fast on efile form 1s. Which is unusual for any government agency. Lol. Right now, it’s a hair over two weeks after they receive prints.

Actually, I have big plans for this gun. A company called Lingle industries (check them out on IG) is releasing a new lower that’s compatible with the stribog. But it accepts Magpul scorpion mags. This will revolutionize the platform. At present, it accepts Magpul scorp mags because it’s the only mag with reliable LRBHo due to the with. But that will be addressed soon as well with their follow up bolt catch that will allow it to accept akv,scorp, and Magpul mags. This is huge news for bog owners. It simultaneously solves the mag problem and gives the option of aftermarket triggers and grips of your choice. I am anxiously Waianae the test video I saw is VERY promising

Have yall heard about the bolt swap recall on certian a3? I believe its for the first 3000 serial numbers. Dont quote me. Hope this helps someone

How did you get the B&T stock to work? stock adapter? If so where did you get it from?

A3 tactical sells them. But I happened to have the SB tactical brace that came with it, so it’s compatible with B&T stocks. All I had to do was shave a little off the top and bottom of the hinge of the BT stock and it fit right into the SB brace adapter. 👌🏻

@@theuncouthtruth9551 sweet thanks man..took a chance and picked up a current gen... noted changes are the US marked locker, flat face trigger..also looked at the follower and it is black and it appears the bolt hold open area is now one solid piece..still not anti tilt though...wish they would just make it anti tilt like Colt SMG mags

@@TheCristuff they actually abandoned that project. Those never came out. But they did post recently that they may be resurrecting it and going with the CZ scorpion mags. Which would be absolutely amazing. 🙌🏻 No confirmation with a date on it though. Still in R&D
