Still rockin' Ramunap Red here, but added Harsh Mentor, and boy... he's great against a good number of cards! Bristling Hydra, Whirler Virtuoso, Walking Ballista, Longtusk Cub, The Scarab God, Vehicles, Hazoret the Fervent.

Supernatural stamina also causes ETB effects to trigger because the creature does die and then come back.... Correct me if I'm wrong on that please.

That's correct. The creature dies, goes to the graveyard, then is returned to the battlefield.

Ive been adding Life Goes On to a very similar deck, Fatal Push + Bone Picker/Life Goes On is ridiculous. If on turn two you destroy their creature and put your life total to 28, youre always in great shape. Definitely an under appreciated card worth testing. Great vids Dev!

I love that you have walk the plank in here, I'm playing with an upgraded merfolk list that started from one of your budget builds... What about a blue black Drake Haven/ favorable winds brew? With flying vehicles, maybe stormchaser, just some thoughts I haven't built it yet but I'm sure I'd want to play it...

Supernatural Stamina has made pretty much every non-control black deck I've ever made since it was printed. Super good. It was even in my zombie deck before rotation. Makes ETB's so much stronger too.

I made a variant of this deck with some sword-point diplomacy and a few fun-of Gonti and Dire Fleet Ravager... two weeks later and a bit more low to the ground, and it's suddenly a real deck! Makes me feel good about my brewing xP

I play a black red version sorta. I prefer glint-sleeve siphoner in the deck instead of the raider. Yes it’s smaller but the menace and only paying one life for a card I find much better.

I've been using Stamina since it has been released, and it never disappointed me. Ok, mostly on casual decks, but it always did it's job and surprised the opponent! As to Bone Picker, always looked as a good card, but never had a chance to actually use it...

What do you think of adding Gonti, Lord of Luxury in this deck? I've thought of cutting 1 ruin raider (because of Gonti's higher cmc and alternative to card draw) and the one aethersphere harvester for 2-3 copies. Do you think this is a good idea?

Any thoughts on Arguel's Blood Fast, maybe as a one-of in addition to the Raiders? It can draw a lot of cards, and the backside land can sac your recursive guys from under exile and lifegain removal.

Alright Sabumtig, I need your input on Abzhan Explore, the basic shell is wildgrowth walker, deadeye tracker, heart of kiran, winding constrctor, gideon of the trials, 1-2 vraska relic seeker, renegade rallier, a handful of the 2-3 mana cost explorers as targets for renegade rallier, treasure map flipped to enable revolts with the treasures and to also scry so you kinda know when youre getting a land or not from explore. I thought the explore would only be decent in sealed or draft but you gain so much life from wildgrowth and he can easily + up to trade with a bristling hydra, not to mention all the repeatable explores with rallier. its a clunky mana base i know. im stuck on a wincon though, and its down to hailfire or carnage tyrants. The only things i can think of to battle temur energy are tocatli honor guard which shuts down the etbs from explore, but not the trackers, which double duties as gy hate against scarab gods. Let me know what you think, im having trouble finding anyone playing this type of deck, but it feels promising.

heya, love your deck. Its just so much fun to watch your opponent confused face when you do a classic Push`n`Pick on Turn 2. I played a lot against B/W VampHorse and thought about switching Key to the city with Bontus last reckoning dough not sure if the deck can handle the Mana Break. Any toughts? Great content keep up the good work!!

You could try Yahenni's Expertise instead of Reckoning. Also I'd find a different sideboard slot to switch out because Key is good against decks that go wide.

hey dev what do you think about a spicy one of sword point diplomacy? seems like it might be deece cause they don't wanna lose life and all your draws are gas with 20 lands. Edit: yeah its really good so far on mtgo. if I draw it the opponent is usually at around 8-11 and I have around 1 or two cards in hand. if anyone is reading this I recommend sword point for sure

Dev what about Throne of the God-Pharaoh in this deck? it makes all those one drops deal 3 damage turn 2 if you can play them turn 1 and 2 and you can ping more with them when you crew and you dont have to run them in to big guys killing them

Built an entire deck around Supernatural Stamina and Gonti/Hostage Taker synergy and it is annoying as all hell to deal with. Also with Supernatural Stamina when Kitesail dies you have the option of NOT allowing the opponent to have their card back. Well tech I guess they do, for an instant, if you allow it.

Have you considered Plague belcher for this deck. Turn 4 if you hit a 4th land you can drop belcher for 3, puts the -1/-1 counters on wanderer, wanderer dies making your opponent lose 1 life, then use the reaming land to play a bone picker. Then, next turn you can just get back your wanderer. 5/4 with menace, 3/2 flyer, and make your opponent lose 1 life for 4 mana. You can not beat that.

You mean "Ramunap"? Its a reference to the land Ramunap Ruins. The deck is called Ramunap Red because of its use of Ramunap Ruins and Sunscorched Desert

Off topic question but if you attack with your creature your opponent uses an instant removal you cant then play supernatural stamina on that already removed creature though right? So how is supernatural stamina a counter to removal?

You can cast in response to their instant because you get priority at that point :)

minor mistake, lost legacy can NOT hit a gearhulk, you need the name artifact card and exile all copies card for that.

The benefit to playing white at the moment is their exile removal from what I've seen. There isn't that much else that's worthwhile in that color for aggro decks. Though that's my Opinon.
